 I guess I was so excited about receiving our doc for 9/7 cruise I didn't even notice that my DD middle name was misspelled. I called Disney this morning to see if it was a problem. The CM said it needed to be corrected to avoid "potential problems". We booked through DU. I called there and was told it was not a problem and I should not worry. She said the documents can be corrected by me. Has anyone else had this problem? I don't want anything to stop us from boarding this cruise.

Hi Quickdraw! As long as the name is spelled correctly on DCL's reservation that is what matters, you can correct the name spelling on the documents yourself. I'm sure DU took care of changing the spelling on the official reservation with DCL and you'll be all set.
Enjoy your cruise! :)

My sister-in-law had the same problem when she received her documents for our 7/6/02 cruise. We also booked thru DU and when she called them they told her to just make the change herself on the documents. She had no problem when she checked in at the port.

My first name is spelled wrong on my doc. I called disney ASAP and was told by DCL as long as it is the same name for example Brittany - Brittney there would not be a problem. And that is right from DCL. I hope this helps.

My daughter's name was spelled wrong (Ann instead of ANNE) She was quite upset about it (adolescent angst) and I called DU. They said no problem to board, however, when we arrived at port and they were printing up the KTTW cards, the CM happily changed it in the DCL computer and on her card. It would NOT have been a problem to board however!

My name was spelled wrong on my docs for my first 2 cruises. I guess they just copied the second from the first even though I let them know it was wrong. By the 3rd and 4th they had gotten it right, LOL!! It presented no problem at the port.

My daughter's birth certificate disappeared a couple of months before our last cruise. I requested another copy which arrived about a week before the cruise. Her first name was spelled incorrectly. We didn't have any problem checking in.
