My symptoms were more than just allergies....

Just got back from the doctor. Around lunchtime I couldn't stand the headache or sinus pain and pressure so I called and was given appt for 2:15 today.

The doctor took one look at my throat and told me I have a major throat infection and probably sinus infection too. She didn't bother with a throat culture because she said even if it came back negative for strep, I still have a bad throat infection for which I need an antibiotic anyway. I took a look in the mirror and it's pretty gross, looks like small spots of cottage cheese in the back of my throat and on my tonsils. Blech!

So....I just dropped off my prescriptions for antibiotic and Allegra, at CVS....

You poor thing!!!! I had a history of strept when I was younger adn that's what it looked like. It's horrible!!! You really need to take it easy!!!!!! Rest and be well!!!!

Thanks everyone. I've been taking it easy all night. Leftovers for dinner. Then DH made a cup of tea for me. I'm online on my laptop, in bed. Until a little while ago my headache was almost unbearable, and I usually have a pretty high tolerance for pain, considering I should've gone to the doctor 2 weeks ago for this.

Ok Dad...I mean Dan...I'll get to bed early! :) But since I'm already in bed, can I stay online?? :teeth:

The good news is... once on the antibiotics... you usually have a quick turn around on how you are feeling! I sure hope that is exactly how it works for you. :)

Hope the antibiotics are kicking in! You know, I can swing by tomorrow on my way dropping Ian off and bring you some soup :D :D .

Hope you are feeling better now. Nothing worse than feeling yuccky when it is 100 degrees out. Sheesh it was brutal today.

Awww, thanks Debbie! That's so nice of you to offer, but my MIL dropped some soup off just a little while ago :)

Regarding the temperature: I spent most of the day and evening under the blankets. We have the central air running, and I think I had chills from being sick.

I read your thread from this morning... How did your day end up going? I will go find the thread now to see if you've posted an update. What a Monday for you....!!

Yep, the day looked up, and now I only have 4 more to go, and then I have a 3 day weekend.

The only :grrrrrr: is that my sick co-worker called me tonight at home and says she does not 'think' she will be making it in tomorrow either. *sigh* It will be fine, I can only do what I can do!
