This camera is a Todays Special Value on QVC......It looks great, price is in my range but I can't find any reviews on it because it is so new.

Anyone have any input on this?

Going to Universal in 12 days and my son is in baseball so looking for good zoom camera that is fairly small for travel. Oh yeah, I like the point and shoot too :)

I gotta think quick before it sells out. Gonna have to pay for expedited shipping too to ensure delivery before we leave :)

Since this camera was only released during February, you most likely won't find any thorough reviews. I did check Amazon and there was 1 customer review:

Don't know if this will help in your decision but it was all I could find

I don't have the Olympus SP 800 UZ but I pick up it cousin the SP 590 about a month ago and I love it. I don't have any complain with it at all. The zoom is awesome. It takes nice pictures in auto and if you dare to play with the settings it just makes the pictures better. If you are look for a new camera I would go for it.

Thanks!!! I ordered it and paid for the "really fast shipping" and will have it tomorrow! I figured it was worth 5.00 more to have it for a week before we go to learn the camera a little bit :goodvibes

What you said about your camera is exactly what I am looking for. Great zoom, great pics taken easily, with even better pics if I want to take the time.......

Awesome, thanks again!

While not exactly a review, this camera, along with another new 30x zoom from Nikon, were given "shout outs" in this months' Popular Photography magazine. It was just a half a page that generally stated how much the point and shoots had advanced and would definitely meet the demands of particular segment of the digital photo taking population.

It did give the general spiel about point and zooms have smaller sensors and thus low light photography was going to be a challenge.

I think you will be happy with the choice. 30x optical zoom will be good in situations when you need it.
