I don't think we're going to be interested in going to the character breakfast while onboard. We're planning on spending the mornings of our at sea days sleeping in and then having breakfast in our room.
Do the tickets have your specific name/cabin on them? Can I give them to another DIS'er who might want to go to the CB twice?

They will have your name/stateroom etc on them. And your servers for the character breakfast will be your same server team from dinner --- so I think they would realize that it is not 'you'. With that said -- if you let your servers know the night before that 'friends' will be using your ticket --- I don't think it would be a problem.

I'd love to go to the breakfast twice... are you going on 8/24?

We had so much fun that morning. You should go. You can sleep in at home. Don't be a lazybones. (Just pickin' on ya!) Maybe you can go to guest services the nite before and ask if you can go to the second seating character breakfast. It really wasn't too busy when we went.

Is the seating for the Character Breakfast based on your Early or Late seating for Dinner? We currently have Early seating for dinner. What are the times for the Character Breakfast seatings?:bounce:

We looked at the Navigator for the Eastern. If you have early seating your breakfast is 8:30 am. If you have late seating, it's 9:45 am.

Yes, I'll be on the 8/24 sailing. I had already offered to another DIS'er who hadn't gotten back to me, but if they don't want them, meet us all on Deck 10 at 3:00 on Saturday with lime green ribbon on and ask for me, and we'll see what we can work out!

It's not so much that (we have late seating anyhow), but it's myself, DH, and DS 16, and we've been to every character meal at WDW ad nauseum, and frankly we're just kind of burnt out on them. If I had my 7 year old DN with me, it would be a different story :)

My wife thinks we should skip the character breakfast. Is there anything special about the food or is it just the characters?
We went to one at Disneyland and the food was mediocre. Our kids enjoyed the characters, but they wont be with us on our cruise.
Thanks for any info.

Bobby,
Don't take this wrong since I can't laugh and roll my eyes. But, it's breakfast, you know? lol We went up to the buffet, ate my favorite cheese danish (oh my gosh I miss them!), then went for the breakfast. It was good, you know? If you don't want to go, don't go. IMHO, if you want to go but DW doesn't want to go - go without her. If I were going, I'd let you sit at my table and we could blow bubbles in our chocolate milk together.

True, breakfast is not a life-threatening crisis. I was just kind of joking about my wife. She says I make her sound like this aweful person because she doesn't want to go. It was funny though. It was like $25 per person for the character breakfast we went to in Anaheim or something like that. I'd expect crepes or something fancy for that price!
I kind of doubt we will go separately to anything since we are on our tenth anniversary cruise. That's the way I like it anyway!

Wow, and that food was way overpriced too! We wouldn't have missed DS's experience with Pooh for anything, but I have never paid as much for a meal as I did at the Crystal Palace at WDW.

i don't know about the character breakfast, since we were on the wonder not the magic.....but no way would we skip breakfast....
except for the last day (in parrot cay) we ate all of our breakfasts in tritons and loved it....
my husband and kids all ordered about 4 different dishes....they're big on breakfast in my family...
no way would we think of eating in our room instead of in tritons....

Bobby,
You sound like a great guy - DH won't go places willingly without me either - for some odd reason he enjoys my company. This breakfast won't cost you any add'l $$ and you'll have your normal server. We enjoyed the sit-down breakfast since this was the only one we chose to take in the dining room other than the last day breakfast.
Have a great time. You might want to trade her the character breakfast for the Surial Bath though.
