We have signed our contracts and are waiting for closing. I called MS today to check availability in January / February and was informed that my dates were good. MS also told me about the few weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. She stated that the parks were not that crowded . All the decorations are up and there is a very merry christmas party for the kids. I'm sorry I didn't ask more questions of her. I would love to take my grandchildren during that time.
Has anyone been to DWD during that time of year ? I would appreciate some feedback.
Second, how expensive are the LOS passes vs. a 4 day hopper ?

Thank You

Here is a link to Disney Ticket Prices here on the DIS. Don't forget to subtract the 10% DVC discount from the Ultimate Park Hopper (LOS) passes when comparing prices.

December is a great time to go to WDW, the parks are beautiful and the weather is usually very pleasant.

Enjoy!

And those weeks in December (first two particularly) are high DVC demand times so if you go then make sure you use the 11 month booking window at home resort. Christmas decorations are all up -- You have after regular hours at MK for the Mickey's Very merry Christmas Party and the very impressive Osbourne Lights at MGM.

Do you want to go Dec. 2002 or 2003? I would check availability if it's this year if you want a DVC resort. There is probably room at the Disney resorts if you would like to use points that way, although the weekend points there are high as well.
That said, we went last December 6-9 and it was a lot of fun. We didn't do commando park touring but concentrated on holiday things--Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade at MK, the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, and the Osbourne lights at MGM. Also check out the decorations at the Wilderness Lodge and the Grand Floridian resorts, at least!
