Should she book it? When is this rehab taking place??? I can't believe they would close the whole resort for that! I would rather give out the rooms for $49 - use of rooms, laundry, and quiet pools only than close a whole resort because of the shops and food court.I guess they know best! I think people would still pay a least a little bit to stay in a very nice hotel room with a pool and bus service, even without the restaurants.

Well, if she hasn't booked yet, she really doesn't have a problem then. Try another resort...they are all a lot of fun, and most are much more convenient that CBR.

You should find a different resort, because CBR will be closed during that time. I think that it is the smartest idea... Disney doesn't want to offer something half way. I wouldn't want to stay in a resort that had nowhere to eat, no gift shop, etc. You may as well stay offsite, or at the AS. There are plenty of other options that will give your sister the Disney atmosphere that staying on site is all about.

Susy,
Before the CBR fiasco started to form, I called CRO last week to book CBR for Oct. 6-12, AP rates, and was told NONE of those dates were available then. I thought that was awfully strange due to the time of the year, but now I'm thinking maybe they started blocking bookings in anticipation of the rehab.

Susy -

Both CSR and POR are good choices in lieu of CBR. The All Stars are also a choice as well. If it was me, I would choose POR, followed by CSR. Don't let this spoil the vacation - it will be fun! :p

I let my sister know (after I called myself) and she wasn't terribly upset. She will just book elsewhere. Thanks for the replies!!!!!
