Do you clean your house on a specific day?

Just curious if you all cleaned your house on any type of a schedule? Growing up my mother always had set cleaning days and set wash days. She always grocery shopped on Thursdays too. When I was working full time I always cleaned on Sunday, now that I am geographically unemployed I try to clean on Mondays and if necessary Tuesdays? As for wash, I usually do it when the hamper is full, not on a specific day.

Lately I have been trying to clean as I go. But usually do most of it on the weekends

i clean on monday. the only day i work is on sunday so by the time i get home the house is a disaster usually. so monday is cleaning day. i used to grocery shop on mondays too, but i have found shopping once a month at sam's club saves me money in the long run. so i am doing that today too. i do laundry every tuesday. by 9 am. i like to have my week free. you never know when my boyfriend will need something for work and i will have to drop what i am doing to go do something for the business (we are buying it!!). we also have karate on monday, fridays, and saturday mornings. and i homeschool my DS so this is what works for us. LOL

I clean as I have the time and inclination. If I don't have morning sickness and cleaning products don't make me gag, I clean. :D

When DH isn't golfing, then it is usually Saturday. During 'golf seasons' it is whenever we get to it.

I voted for Friday because that is when I do most of the big stuff, however, I am doing some cleaning everyday. :rolleyes:

I always say I'm going to do a little each day, but it always ends up being Sat. or Sunday. Its hard when DH & I both work!

I try to stick to this schedule, because I tend to be disorganized--

Monday--Laundry
Tuesday--Ironing
Wednesday--Run errands
Thursday--Grocery shopping
Friday--Clean house

Of course, it rarely happens this way anymore. I find myself on the computer WAY too much. I wonder why?!?

No, not really, but I do try to hit the highlights on a certain type room each day. For instance, Mon- bathrooms, Tues-DH and my bedroom, Wed-DS bedroom, and so on and so forth. :)

Sunday for me.. simply cause it's the time I have the most free time.

I am commited to an every other week thing....one week bathes, wash floors next week kitchen, dust and EVERY week laundry, and vaccum.....2 kids and 3 log haired cats....I do a LOT of laundry and vaccum A LOT of fur!!!!!!:rolleyes:
