Which side of the ship do you prefer???

We've always done starboard and have booked this for next cruise as well. Probably because it is where we started and we try for the same stateroom! (Ok, we're weird ;) )

Anyway - one of the reasons we like it is because you're dockside in Port Canaveral and DH loves to stand on the verandah and watch the activity. He also just showed me the port cam in Key West and it looks like starboard is dock side there as well if that matters to anyone.

Port = left (both have 4 letters) and technically that is the side the port (water passage) is on.

If you're on the 6/21/03 you can come visit us and we'll let you look at the dock!:jester:

I prefer starboard. <I>Most</I> of the time, the ship will back into the dock, so port side is then not the "dock" side. At Castaway Cay, if they back in (which they usually seem to) and you are port side, you won't have much of a view except the loading/unloading and maybe some construction vehicles. The starboard side would be viewing the beaches and developed areas - a beautiful site! That said, there is no way to know for sure in advance exactly which way they will pull into each port.
