I've always had a minor hearing loss, but it seems to be getting worse now. Even my husband wants me to go get checked out. I'm afraid to go for a hearing test. I hate them! I haven't a clue who to go see, but I have to do something. Any ideas? Thank you :)

I would think an ENT. Not sure. Good luck, though!

Hi Gillian,
I would see an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist first and they could possibly refer you to an audiologist depending on what they find.
Good luck!

I think I went to an ENT when I was in high school. All I remember was that they seemed more into nose jobs than hearing loss! :(
Is an audiologist the person who does the hearing tests? I had to take my son for one when he was 8 months old & there was one tone neither of us could hear & she seemed amused by it. But the light with the toy (for kids) didn't go on either, so maybe she just did something wrong. They did another test on DS and said everything was fine, so I'm not sure.
I need to find someone sensitive!
Cut right to the chase. Find yourself a neuro otologist. If you live anywhere around northeast Ohio, check out the Lippy Group.

Yes, Gillian, that is an audiologist. I know those tests well after 12 years of them with Patrick! :)
