I have two 15 yo sons. They kept telling me about these surf shirts they wanted. I finally saw the catalog. They were re-makes of Ocean Pacific collared, striped polo shirts. They were close to fifty bucks. Ouch. So we went to ebay. Turns out there are tons of vintage polo shirts for sale, and getting bid on. I bid on a bunch of them for them. One of them I got into a bidding war and paid 26. for. Others I quit when they went much higher. In the end I got 8 shirts for like 130. They love them, and their friend all think they are so cool. These are old 80's button collar polo shirts. Some of them are even Izod. Can you believe this. I just laugh, and my dh is jealous and wishes I had gotten him some.
I think I only had one of them shirts...lol

You can find those all over the place at thrift stores, but Izod is harder to find than the no-names or lesser names.

Ahhh...Izod shirts (collar strategically flipped up of course), OP shorts, and Dockside shoes....Yep, even the guys had good "taste", too back then;)

Too funny, I see those all the time in thrift stores.. IN fact I am going today to look for something similiar for my son...
My son is a smaller size.. he likes the longer sleeve TV shirts with the surfer designs.. he saw them in a movie..

We should all keep our clothes we had as teenagers. Our kids will end up loving them. Well, I don't think I'd wear the things my mom wore when she was a teenager.:p

Well, the stuff I wore was well different than what most kids wore... I had my own creations, mens suits, army clothes, vintage clothes, made my own stuff...
That would be pretty funny if I kept some of it...

Recently I was going through boxes and was going to get ride of an old, black Harley Davidson t-shirt that I wore in the early 80's, but now my 15 year old son got a hold of it and wears it all the time. It's probably two sizes too small but he wears it like a muscle shirt. I've still got some old concert t-shirts I'll have to dig out for him since he now doesn't think my music from back then was so bad.

Now I know what to do with all those Ocean Pacific shorts that don't fit anymore. Look out Ebay, here I come.
