Sleepovers.
Why do my teen sons always want somebody to sleep over in the summer. I don't remember doing this when I was a kid.
We live in a very small place, but....We are three houses from the ocean and all their friends surf. They want their friends to spend the night so they can walk the boards at night and hit the surf at six am. But there are always teen boys crashed in my living room. Oh, and did I mention they are teen aged boys. They eat alot, are messy and have smelly feet. LOL
but.. I am glad their friends are at my house, instead of them all out getting in trouble. But this is the only reason I will be glad summer is ending, so we can be on a regular schedule again.

my least favorite thing is those first few minutes after you get into a hot car before the a/c kicks in

the HEAT. end of story...it is awful! any kind...dry heat, humid heat...yuck, yuck, yuck!

I hate that too DocRafiki.. mine would probably just be sitting at home when i know all of my friends are out doing something, and im still sitting here.. doing nothing LOL

But, I hate that summer ends. :( Not that I dislike any other season, I hate when they all end for some reason or another. I guess with summer, it's that the kids go back to school. Summer's just tooo short in time but, long on the HEAT!

I have to agree with a lot of the above. I do hate the heat in the car before the AC kicks in.....also the humidity.....also the mosquitos....yuck!!

I love the summer, it's only draw-back is the oppressive humidity.

I love working in the yard, but there are some days I go out the back door and right back in the front door.

The humidity slows me down to a halt.

BEES!!! the absolute worst, hands down. Relentless bees can ruin anything, especially when you have a kid that's terrified of them!!

I love the summer, hate that it's over so quickly, can deal with the hot car thing since I don't drive a black on black car anymore :rolleyes: I don't like cold weather one bit and I'm basically miserable from November through April :o

The bugs... just hate having to clean the car after a road trip.... UGH!
