I was wondering if anyone has flown Air Transat from Toronto to Orlando?

I was just checking things online and they have a return flight in june for 3 for $800

I used them years ago and with a TA so I don't really know too much about them

Do they have baggage fees?
cost for seat selection?

Any other info would be great... TIA

Air Transat is a great charter airline with nice staff. Rarely change times and almost always flies direct, non-stop from Toronto to Orlando. Much better customer service than Sunwing! Used them several times in the past. They do not charge for checked bags, however only 1 checked bag per person is allowed. For advanced seat selection, it costs $30 roundtrip per person. I would book them without hesitation :thumbsup2

$800 is a good deal. We have flown with them a bunch of time but never to MCO. I would book with them in a heartbeat.

do you pass US customs in Toronto or in Orlando. With Westjet we clear customs in TO so we can use the ME tags

I'm not 100% sure but I think you clear customs in TO. We have every time we have flown from YYZ to any US city.

We flew Air Transat this past Feb. Tickets cost $785.00 (tax inc.) total for 2 adults and 1 child from YYZ to MCO. Direct flight. Problem free. We cleared US Customs in Toronto. They allowed 1 free checked bag per person.

No free food on flight. I bought a grilled veg sandwich for $6 -- the worst thing I ever ate in my whole life. My son had the mac n cheese - it was tolerable. Just bring your own food (or eat at the terminal before boarding).

I found the leather seats rather cold and a little uncomfortable --but the price was right.

Oh yes, you can pay a fee and pre-select your seat --we did not use that option. I think it was $15 per person per flight. (will have to check it)

Yes, the fee is $ 15 per person, per flight for seat selection.

Another thing I remembered -- their customer service phone line is always busy and you will be put on hold forever, only to get an answering machine to leave a message. Someone did call me back the next day. (I had forgotten middle names on DH's and DS's tickets). They made the change without any additional fees. However, if you have to change anything else, they will likely charge a fee for it.

Just a note - if your are close to Buffalo, I just booked SouthWest to Orlando $69 each way. It is worth the little bit extra drive for us, you are already through customs when you board, you are allowed 2 bags each no charge and the airport is very easy to get around in.
