Didn't do a diary yesterday. I actually forgot, which is a surprise, since my daughter & I started yet another new routine. There is a walking path in our town that is exactly 1 mi, and since we both have a goal of being able to enter the princess 5k next spring, we wanted to see how far we have to go to get a mile in fourteen minutes. We actually did it in ninteen, so for completely out-of-shape beginners, that wasn't half bad! We plan to do that trail three nights a week, and let walking the dogs in the neighborhood the other nights give us time to recoup. I'm so proud of her commitment, and that is really helping me to stick to mine. Everyone have a great day!

Just got back from a solo walk on the walking trail. One mile to the end, then one mile back to the car. And it took 34 minutes! A seventeen minute mile is the best I've been able to do since starting back on the road to getting thinner and healthier. If I had any energy left, I'd do a happy dance. Both my daughter and I are really working hard at sticking to our heathy food plan, and tomorrow will be the end of the first week since I started my journal, so we'll see what the weight loss looks like. Fingers crossed!!!

My first week of journals - as of the 31st. This is fairly new to me, and it's easy to miss a day or two. But good news! Three pounds gone! Sixty-five to go, but that's better than sixty-eight. I'm so proud of my daughter. Her first week, she lost 12!!!! We're going for our walk this evening, hopefully it will be a little cooler. It's already hot here in GA, so it'll be a long summer. If anyone is following my progress, thank you for supporting my trek. But even if noone ever reads my posts, it really is great to write it all down. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend, wherever you happen to be.

Nothing really going on to jounal about the past few days. Yesterday my boy skateboarded along on my walk since my daughter was studying for a test. (she's a hard working college student) I took about 30 seconds off my best time for the first mile, and was about the same for the second. Still looking forward to next spring & a Disney 5k. Who knows - maybe my daughter & I will be able to do a half marathon by then!

Been really busy - (I tell myself), but right on track with the careful eating & the walking plan!. My daughter & I walked two miles on the walking trail today, and my weight is going down (slowly). If anyone is following my progress, thank you for your thoughts!
Have a good week all!
