Okay, I need someone to set me straight on the types of desserts that are available to those on DDP.
This trip is the first time I have EVER had the funds/opportunity to really eat at the World.
I know on DDP that we are alotted an entree, single serving of a non-alcoholic beverage, and a dessert (or a buffett, but I'm not worried about how those work! :) ). I believe I read somewhere that all the DDP desserts are the same at all the participating locations?? :confused3 Is that true?
What types of sweetness are generally available (sundaes, pie, cake, etc)?
TIA!

I have used DDP many times and don't remember being limited to any one dessert at TS. Not sure, but may be limited when you use CS.
Nope the desserts are all included EXCEPT if says "for two" then it counts as two. Other than that sit back, relax, and enjoy. Half the fun of the DDP is the yummy desserts. We would never ordinarily splurge on desserts so this little extra treat is always fun ;).

Possibly there is a misunderstanding as you can generally order any dessert on the menu.
Tangierine Cafe, for one, restricts DDP desserts to baklava, and at the Yorkshire Fish & Chips there is only one dessert available. There's a location at MK (Lunching Pad I think) that offers no dessert at all. Obviously the Kitchen Sink sundae at Beaches & Cream is excluded. Other than that I am not aware of any restrictions on desserts (barring the possible "dessert for two")

Agreeing with those above, with extremely rare exceptions, if it's on the menu, you're allowed to order it.
Some people have reported that they can order "for 2" items using 2 adult's entitlements. A smaller number have reported being able to order "for 2" items with a single entitlement. Some people have been reported that they were unable to order "for 2" items with dining credits at all. It seems to depend on restaurant and server, and can change from day to day or even table to table.

:worship: THANKS!!!
I was wondering how that was all supposed to pan out.
How do the dessert credits pan out with CS places? Are we talking cookies? (which would be a Godsend)

Depends on the location. Lots of places have chocolate cake slices, carrot cake slices, apple tart/crumble, and/or cookies. You might be able to get fruit in some places (even a kids' fruit cup if you're dealing with a reasonable CM).
For example (via menus from AllEars.net):
Cosmic Ray's (MK)
Brownie (no sugar added) $2.39
Carrot Cake $3.59
Triple Chocolate Cake $3.59
Toy Story Pizza Planet (DHS)
Cookies - Chocolate Chip or Sugar $1.79
Mickey's Crisped Rice Treat $2.69
Apple Slices $1.29 (not sure if counts as a dessert)
Flame Tree BBQ (AK)
Key Lime Pie - $3.59
Chocolate Cake - $3.59

Most of the CS places offer the same prepackaged desserts. The apple pie/tart is very good & we like the carrot cake as well. The chocolate cake was not a hit with our family (almost too chocolate-y, if there is such a thing:scared1:). I have also ordered the grapes, from the kids menu as a dessert. Typically, the kids meals can get a cookie in lieu of fruit or applesauce. We stay at POR & anything from the bakery or ice cream spot count as a dessert. Here is where I hit the jackpot!! Choosing between a chocolate-dipped Mickey rice krispie treat, a big slab of carrot cake, yummy chocolate cake, giant cookies, double scoop of butter pecan ice cream... I better stop now because I am starting to drool! :rotfl:

I find some of the desserts on the DDP too rich, so i'll ask for the kids chocolate chip cookie. Just enough for a dessert fix.

1. Most of the QUICK SERVICE desserts are a choice between 2-4 different items and yes, those items are more or less the same (there are probably about 5-6 items and any given QS restaurant will sell 2-3 of them). Standard items you find at most places are mini chocolate cake, mini carrot cake, and mini apple pie. Some places also have cookies or brownies and occasionally a special dessert served only at that place (Rocky Road chocolate mousse at Liberty Inn, creme brulee at Wolfgang Puck Express). Most places will allow you to substitute fruit and/or a bottle of water instead of dessert. Some places that are also bakeries will allow you to get any pastry as your dessert. (BTW, the POFQ food court desserts exclude the ice cream cookie sandwich, but you can get *almost* anything from the bakery there as dessert.)
2. Every TABLE SERVICE restaurant will have its own dessert menu, which will mostly be variations on the sorts of things you'd find at any restaurant--cheesecake, chocolate cake, ice cream/sorbet, key lime pie, fruit pie, creme brulee, etc.
