More pictures from a great DIS meet---Fulcer-Con!!

<p><b>Well, another DIS meet in the history books, this one, Fulcer-Con, hosted
by DIS'ers, jfulcer (Jeff), and his wife, PrincessMomof2 (Gael). at their home
in Milwaukee.&nbsp; It seems that DIS meets, hosted at the homes of DIS'ers,
have taken on the new moniker of <i>XYZ-Con,</i> keeping the theme of the big
DIS meet, DIS-Con, held in December at WDW.&nbsp; I think it is kind of neat.&nbsp;
So far, I know of PatrickIL-Con, Barb (for real)-Con, and now, Fulcer-Con.&nbsp;
There may be more, just can't think of them now.&nbsp; Cool!!</b></p>
<p><b>Lady M (Marie) and I headed north for Milwaukee about 1:30 PM, a normal 75
minute drive.&nbsp; About 2+ hours later, tied up in a tough traffic jam on the
tollway, we arrived at Fulcer-Con.&nbsp; This would be Marie's 4th DIS meet
since getting active on the DIS back in March.&nbsp; She is getting to be a DIS
meet champ!!!</b></p>

<p><b>Upon arriving, I did the normal first things first, took out my digital
camera and made a round of pictures.&nbsp; Most all the folks who were not
coming from other commitments and parties that day were already there.&nbsp;
Let's see how I do on the name game.&nbsp; From left is DIS'er, Noel (seated)
and her DH, Todd, our host for the day, Jeff, and then brisully (Brian...or
Bris, if you prefer), seated also.&nbsp; On the deck, our hostess, Gael is
talking to Big V (Scott) and Ellen, PatrickIL's DW is seated, in green, talking
to, on her right,&nbsp; Dopeygirl (Tricia) and Marie.&nbsp; Catzeyes (Kathryn),
in blue, is partially blocked by Ellen.&nbsp; As you look at these pictures,
notice the ABUNDANT splashes of lime green, DIS and Disney touches,
EVERYWHERE!!!!!&nbsp; It was indeed a festive place to be.&nbsp; Gael and Jeff,
thank you.&nbsp; Also, note in many of the pictures, the very nice and creative
DIS pins that are on almost everyone's shirts.&nbsp; Mickey Sunshine (Christine)
sent these from her home in Florida, for all of us to wear.&nbsp; Thanks,

<p><b>Catzeyes, Kathryn, is showing the ladies at the table how she used to
levitate purses (I recall Dopeygirl trying to levitate a plate of desserts at
Patrick's a few weeks back).&nbsp; Ellen, Marie and Big V's DW, Pam, look on in
amazement, while Tricia, already knowing how to levitate objects, (though does
not yet know how to close an oven door) amuses herself with her recently
purchased digital camera, possibly looking for revenge for the many 'candids' I
have taken of her the past few years.</b></p>

<p><b>Realizing that there was not enough lime green around, Gael finishes the
final touch for Jeff, lime green hair for the day!!!!&nbsp; It was quite
becoming.</b></p>

<p><b>Left to right, Brian, DIS'er Jaimee, Todd, Noel and Patrick.&nbsp; I think
Brian and Patrick were discussing either Chicago Bears, Dan Hampton's induction
into NFL Hall of Fame or the state of the Cubs run for the pennant this
year.&nbsp; I think Todd may have said something wrong and is feeling the cold
stares of Jaimee and Noel.</b></p>

<p><b>Always so nice to have the little DIS'ers around, after all, that's what
it is all about!!!!&nbsp; Here, in the neat backyard play area she has, Gael and
Jeff's DD, Brittany, stands in the doorway, Jaimee's DS, Isaiah, says he is
taller, and Pam and Scott's DD, Elly, waves her Tinkerbell wand from the steps.</b></p>

<p><b>While up again on the deck, Jeff, Scott, Ellen, Marie and Pam are still
amazed at Kathryn's levitating prowess.</b></p>

<p><b>I took a walk inside the Fulcer home, where lunch would be served in a
short time, buffet style.&nbsp; I was amazed at the wonderfully creative veggie
centerpiece that Gael's mom had put together, with Minnie on one side, and......</b></p>

<p><b>Mickey on the other.&nbsp; Isn't that just the best looking centerpiece
you ever did see?!?!?!?!?</b></p>

<p><b>Had to take one more shot.&nbsp; Again, lime green, everywhere.</b></p>

<p><b>Getting back to Tricia and the oven door thought above....earlier this
same day, while making cookies for Fulcer-Con (finished product is under her
hand), she slammed the oven door on her pinky, and broke it.&nbsp; Trish had to
go to an 'immediate care' facility and will have it splinted for some time
yet.&nbsp; Tricia is a DIS'er at heart and nothing will stand in her way to do
her part!!!&nbsp; Including breaking her bones over it.&nbsp; Way to go,
Trish!!!</b></p>

<p><b>As a reminder to be careful, Gael and Jeff had an OSHA approved warning
sign on their oven door.</b></p>

<p><b>Brian had brought a great and huge Fulcer-Con cookie, with appropriate
lime green touches.</b></p>

<p><b>The dessert table, with the wonderful 'flower pots' that Gael and Brittany
made up, with a plethora of Mickey head cookies-on-a-stick 'flowers' in full
bloom in each Mickey decor pot, all hand done.&nbsp; Notice the lime green!!</b></p>

<p><b>Back outside, Marie now demonstrates the proper method of bringing on
previously levitated object back to rest.&nbsp; Ellen, Patrick, Pam and Scott
seem to be learning the lesson well, but champ levitatress, Tricia, is longingly
thinking of DIS-Con in December.</b></p>

<p><b>As generally happens at some point during the day, tears do come to our
little ones.&nbsp; Here, Brittany has a few, after bonking herself on something
in the playhouse/slide/swing/jungle gym.&nbsp; But, as always, she was all
laughs and smiles in no time at all.&nbsp; Hugs, Brit!!!</b></p>

<p><b>As the day went on, a few more DIS folks dropped in, after doing there
early day, family commitments/gatherings.&nbsp; Here leahannpen (Leah) while
holding her son, Justin, sings the Mickey Mouse Club theme song for Scott.&nbsp;
Her DH, Randy, already a bit skeptical of her dragging him and Justin to a party
of Internet Mickey Mouse people, enjoys a refreshing drink, while trying to calm
Justin, frightened by his mom's singing.</b></p>

<p><b>A bit later, Tricia shows Jeff and Gael's youngest, Abigail, how to
levitate a pacifier.&nbsp; Looks like Tricia will maybe make a great mom some
day.</b></p>

<p><b>Leah and Justin stand in awe at the sight.&nbsp; Patrick, coming from the
right, is ready to catch Justin if the sight of the levitated pacifier is too
much excitement.&nbsp; (Is that corn-on-the-cob in that bag, or KIX cereal for
Justin??)</b></p>

<p><b>Here Brian teaches little Justin the proper technique for passing on a pin
during a pin trade, while Leah asks Justin if he has the technique mastered yet.</b></p>

<p><b>Tricia and Leah laugh at Brian's pin antics, Abigail was tired of them and
Justin was just plain scared.</b></p>

<p><b>With Brian continuing unabated on with his pin stuff, Leah, Justin in arm,
gets ready to throw a KIX puff (I guess it was not corn) at him, Ellen tries to
quietly sneak off the deck into the yard, Patrick gets ready to grab him if he
reacts to the thrown KIX and Randy proudly watches his DW, Leah, taking control
of the explosive situation.</b></p>

<p><b>As the day wore on, Tricia decided to have her one, and only, cooler of the
day, after only waters for the whole day.&nbsp; Ellen and Jeff wonder how it
will go, while Randy and Brian stand off, almost in the neighbor's yard, a safe
distance away.</b></p>

<p><b>Taking a cue from DIS'er Kara's recent picture report on her little baby
birds at her home, I thought I would grab an impromptu, and quite our-of-focus, close-up
of feeding time for baby Abigail.&nbsp; Sort of like sticking the camera in the
nest.&nbsp; She was in her car-seat type thing. (What do you call those??)</b></p>

<p><b>Later in the day, another DIS'er, making her very first DIS meet, Princess
Vija (Vija), in red, stopped by.&nbsp; It was great to meet Vija and share time,
though short it was.&nbsp; She is considering getting a digital camera and here
Tricia gives her some pointers on what to look for in a camera.&nbsp; Abigail is
now getting a little dessert, bottle way.&nbsp; Well, Vija, how did you like
your first DIS meet??</b></p>

<p><b>Here Tricia and Jeff, trying out a new levitating technique that Vija just
taught them, try to make the water bottles rise from the table.&nbsp; Vija
continues on with coaching them both while Abigail, oblivious to the adult
shenanigans, continues to enjoy dessert, and to be passed around.</b></p>

<p><b>As the day for Fulcer-Con was coming to end, now about 9 PM or so, Jeff

<p><b>And, as Marie and I were leaving for the drive back to Chicago (and it was
only about 75 minutes returning), I had to take a picture of the front of Gael
and Jeff's home, festive as it was.&nbsp; Jeff was there with a case for anybody
who wanted one (j/k, certainly)</b></p>
<p><b>Gael, Jeff, thank you for putting on and hosting another great day with
DIS folks.&nbsp; Always nice to share with them all.&nbsp; And all those who
came to share the day, thanks for being you and making Marie's and my day
enjoyable.&nbsp; We sure enjoyed ourselves and the camaraderie we all experience
as a result of meeting here on the DIS.&nbsp; As I always say, if you have not
been to a DIS meet in the past, do yourself the favor and go to one.&nbsp; Meet

Great photo's again Dan! You sure do have a wild imagination!That was a fun meet. It's a lot different going to someone's house than going to a mall ect. I like it a lot better as it's easier to talk and less noisy. Jeff and Gael couldn't have done a better job as hosts of their first Dis meet! A great time was had by all!:cool:

First, let me say a heartfelt "thank you" to Jeff and Gael!!! What a wonderful meet! We had a great time, and I can't believe all the neat decorations! I wish we could have gotten there a bit earlier, but you know how summer is! ;)
