For our wedding we wanted to do something else besides table numbers for our reception and was wondering if anyone else has done this with a DW theme. Also if anyone else has done their own centerpieces ALL ideas will be a big help.

we are using Disney Movies for our table names i.e. cinderella, toy story and POTC,( some of our favorite movies) good luck:goodvibes
We are also using a movie ticket design for our escort cards. I made the centerpieces using silks with movie themed design arrangement.

we're having a mad hatter tea party brunch. not sure what direction to go with naming the tables/seat assignment help. we are just assigning a table, not a seat, and the disney people do a tea cup/flower deal, but i am thinking of all the things you could call tables: flowers, types of tea, characters or songs from the movie, playing cards and maybe incorporating whatever it is into the centerpieces somehow.

We used Disney couples for our at home reception (we only had 2 tables at Jiko).

Lady and the Tramp
Mickey and Minnie
Beauty and The Beast
etc.

(I can't seem to find my list right now...) But I can post a pic later when I get home...

We were thinking of doing the same thing. My fiancee loves movies, and I wanted to incorporate his interests. If you have a picture of your centerpiece, I would love to see it.

Our theme was "Wishes." Our song was When You Wish Upon a Star (Billy Joel version), our favors were donations to Make a Wish and the cake and decorations had stars.

I was most pleased with our centerpieces which were snowglobes, each with the "wish" from their movie. Some were taken right from the Wishes soundtrack, the others, I made up. I purchased the snowglobes over a year and a half period and always waited until they went on major sale! Some I was able to get for just $20.

We got so many compliments on them and I'm just so happy they came out just as I envisioned!

Wow Nikki I love you idea. It really looks amazing.

I am thinking of an Alice in Wonderland theme for our at home reception. I'm going to collect mismatching china tea pots and cups for the centrpieces and fill them with flowers. All the favours will have "Eat me" labels attached and I want to do some sort of down the rabit hole theme for the entrance.

I'd like to hang bunting from the ceiling made out of lots of different printed fabrics. Will probably make this myself.

I'd really like a mad hatter cake as well but may struggle to find a UK cake maker that can do one as nice as Disney.
Ooh, also, I was thinking of a cake buffet as well as hot and cold food. Maybe Queen of Heart themed jam tarts etc.

(Not that I've really though much about this!)

My wedding isn't until September, so I have no pictures, but one idea I had for tables, was naming them after all of the lands in Magic Kingdom - that is my absolute favourite park. You could also name your tables after the different parks in Disney. The only problem with these ideas is that there is a limited number of names so you wouldn't be able to have it with a large guest list.

Same problem for us, there is not enough to fill all of our tables.:confused3

My daughter and her fiance met at Disney World while doing the College Program, so I suggested each table be named and themed for a ride. Of course, my daughter shot that idea down pretty fast just because it came from me(Mom). Even though we live 10 hours away, my daughter grew up going to Disney World several times a year and used to collect Disney pins. Between our family, we have thousands of pins, so I thought I could make a small display at each table with pins from each ride. We will have 8 to 10 tables, and 8-10 kids in attendance, so I thought we could let each child take a pin display with them. I know all of them collect pins(because I bought their first lanyards;)

That is a fantastic idea! And using rides gives you a lot more names to work with if you have larger party numbers. And letting the kids take a pin, they will definitely enjoy it!

Well, I did do something different for my table numbers, although Disney did my centerpieces.

I made a card for each table with a picture of us at that age ie: Table 1 had pictures of us at age 1, etc.
