If you have a reservation scheduled to come in for Monday (as in tommarow) and MS is closed today....I need to change the reservation to come in on Tuesday. Do I lose all the points since I can't call MS today? I read the rules and if you cancel/change up to the day before then they go into holding. However, if you cancel/change the day of then you lose them.
So what would happen since MS is closed??
Thanks,
Disneyma!!

I am not sure, but I would try calling the resort you are booked in directly. I am sure this has happened to others, and perhaps they can help you out.

Carol,
I called OKW front desk and they weren't sure... so that puts me back at square one.. :)

Do you have the name of who you spoke to at OKW? I would note their name and/or the time you called to cancel your arrival today. I would then send MS an e-mail with that information to establish a paper trail that you did call today. Then, I'd call MS tomorrow morning to find out how this is handled. I don't see anything in the Member Guidebook covering this circumstance.

I don't remember the exact wording, but when you call when MS is closed, they say something like: if this is an emergency call.. (the resort involved I believe). You might call the number and listen to the exact message.

They had about this situation in a Vacation Magic in 2000 (issue 2):
"If time is short and Member Services is closed, you can contact the Resort Front Desk with your revised arrival date.
If you, or your guests using your Vacation Points, don't contact us prior to midnight of the day before the scheduled arrival date to let us know of a change in arrival date or cancellation of the reservation, you will lose all of the Vacation Points used to make that reservation - those Vacation Points will not be refunded.
Member Services can be reached by phone during weekday business hours and the Resort Front Desk is available to help you on the weekends and evenings with any last-minute reservation changes or cancellations. Phone numbers for all the DVC Resorts can be found in your Member Guidebook, in every issue of Vacation Magic and on-line at dvcmember.com".
I would call the OKW front desk back and ask for a manager. Backing it up with an e-mail is a good idea too, I would mention the name of the person you spoke to.

Thanks Debbie! I thought I was losing my mind. I could picture the example you cited but couldn't find it in the Guidebook or on the Member Site.

I have done just that! I appreciate the info...I really didn't want to lose the 11 points for the studio...I knew I could count on all the friendly folks here!
