Hi, Just wondering if there are restrictions on dessert for kid meal dessert? We are staying at POR, so would my daughter be able to pick a regular bakery item or ice cream. Thanks!

If she is between 3 and 9 and is on the child's dining plan, kids are supposed to order off the kids' menu, so if there is a dessert listed on the kids' menu, that is what she'd have to get. You can get extra bakery items with snack credits. You could of course ask if her dessert can be substitued for another dessert, but it's not likely if there is a dessert item listed on the child's menu.

Kids Menu POR riverside (example as the other stations of other options but same format):

Kids' Picks
For children 9 and under

Choice of two: grapes, applesauce or carrot sticks
Choice of beverage: 1% Mickey Milk, small bottled water or apple juice
$4.49

Hamburger, Chicken Nuggets, or Fish Basket

French Fries, cookie or soft drink substituted upon request

There is a dessert option listed for all the kid's picks at POR riverside and POR french quarter. So my thinking would be that they would not be able to pick anything else.

Its usually a cookie or something small like that. When we went last year as 3 adults 2 children, of course 1 adult didnt eat the dessert that was offered with the adult meal (they were 100% better choice than for kids), so the kids would get to split that one it so it all worked out.
