Any ideas on what to expect in May in terms of busy-ness and weather conditions? We are going Mon 17th to Sat 22nd and I know the following is week is half term in UK.
I am starting to get worried about how busy it is going to be, and also despite having lived in England for a short time I really don't recall what the weather was like in May..is it warm or cool, wet? I have no idea what I need to be packing to bring from Australia. Is the French weather about the same as UK in May?
I have no idea if I should be bringing jeans and tshirts or jeans and jumpers!

May in Paris can be mixed, I've had sunburn and almost been flooded in the same holiday (cycling in the Loire valley). I'd bring layers, t-shirts and a light coat/sweatshirt/jumper but also be prepared for rain.

We're there the 2nd to the 6th of May and plan to take waterproof jackets, puddle suits for the kids (all in 1 jacket and trousers - they take up virtually no room in the suitcase). I'm also taking jeans and a pair of shorts and maybe some 3/4 length short -trousers - sure there's a more macho name for them! :rotfl2:

I'll be mostly in t-shirts with a light sweatshirt/light jacket. It's peaking at around 18C just now in Paris, might be in the low to middle twenties by May. It depends on what you're used to as to whether you'll find it cold or not. One of the guys at work came back from India on our warmest day of the year last year and was complaining about how cold it was - he'd had 45-47C back home :scared1:

You could always buy some extras at the park - it would be a good excuse!

that week in May can be pretty busy, but nothing like Easter or peak summer. The good thing is you have all week there, and weekdays will be quieter than weekends. It's all a case of balancing planning with spontaneity, you will still get everything done if you take advantage of show times and minimal queues when you spot them :)

May in Paris is usually lovely and quite warm, but can be prone to some rain. So I'd pack layers and a brolly if it were me, as well as a light waterproof jacket as well as a blazer, for example. Hope this helps!
