Obviously nobody can know the answer to this for sure.
But.....
Based on past history (admittedly not available at BCV), what are the odds for a studio room being booked for early May with the 7 month window (IE using points from another resort) ?
I would think that you could probably get a studio at either place during May since it's not as busy. Obviously summer would be much harder.
any comments or experiences with the resorts ?

We went this past May and I called 2 weeks before to add a night and was able to get a studio at VWL, but I don't know if this is usual.
I also just got a studio at BCV 4 months out for 2 nights in October!
Good Luck!

May typically is a slow season here, so I would think you wouldn't have any problems.
Good luck!

May has the flower and garden show at Epcot - so it depends upon how many DVC want to see this and didn't go in April - May costs alot less points.
Maybe on the rental/trade board you can find someone who will trade with you.

Thanks for all the responses.
I've already decided to join DVC but various factors are forcing a delay in joining.
So my sis and I are gonna rent points to try out WLV and BCV since we've done OKWR before.

forgot to mention that summer it is generally not hard to get a DVC reservations even 7 months out - DVC generally know that the crowds and heat are horrible in the summer and go when the points and crowds are less and the weather is not so hot. So I have never had a problem getting reservations in June or July.
