Does Bill Barchik- work for disney weddings or did you hire him as an outside consultant. I was wondering if you total costs were over 100,000.

It looks like you did not do the standard Disney wedding stuff. You did a designer package of what you wanted outside of the Disney wedding packages.

Glad you got all you wanted and then some.

We ran into a couple of your guests in the elevator at the GF (your wedding day was our last day of our trip) and they were so nice and sweet when they found out we had gotten married at Disney too.

Cassie, your wedding pictures are beautiful(ok I saw the pictures The Root's have posted on their blog). I'm so glad to hear you had an over the top Wedding Experience. I'm so glad to see your reviews on Reverend Tim, The Roots, & your Videographer. I was looking into us using Reveren Tim for our VR and he sounds hysterical(I most certainly need a top notch Officiate after the lady who did ours for our actual wedding was so not worth he little we paid her to do a Civil Ceremony). I have heard nothing but great reviews on Nathan & Jansey and they look and sound amazing to work with(besides having two added friends added to the mix which is a perk). I've been hunting for a Videographer and will most certainly look into whom you used. Your puppy is adorible(is she a Golden Retriever by any chance? I so we have a grown one by us whom sadly we're going to be saying a sad good bye to in a year or less). What a fantastic Wedding gift for your DH. I'm sure it was one of the most meaningful Wedding Gifts he received. I am so looking foward to reading more of your TR and so glad you started one. Thank you for letting us read about your DFTW Adventure:)!

I am sorry to hear that your golden is not doing well. I would love to hear all about him/her. I have so many questions!! Did you ever have any trouble with hip dysplasia? Did he/she ever grow out of the chewing phase and leave your shoes alone? Molly is very hyper and a times a bit crazy!! I am really hoping that in the years to come she mellows out a bit.

We loved all of our vendors - I would recommend them all. I am glad you like the roots blog - I will be posting a ton more soon!

Thank you so much Cassie. Sturgis (a girl and they didn't name her her previous owner did) is actually my DH's family dog and she is a Rescue Dog from a shelter. I'm not sure how old she was when they got her. She's old now, but so gentle with our son and has been since his 1st day home from the hospital. So whenever you have kids they are extremely wonderful with kids of all ages. She does have hip dysplacia(and almost had surgery or doggy accupuncture to heal her, but left untreated). She recently got Cancer and just had surgery, but the next time it comes back my DInlaws are putting her down as it is really expensive (and surgery is the least expensive treatment). We love her and when we get another dog it will be another Golden.

Sorry I can't help you out on the puppy stage as my last dog( An Australian Shepherd) from childhood was an adult and also from a shelter and I wasn't around my brother's Labradoodle enough when she was a puppy. Defanitely make sure you have enough room for her to run around. If you don't have a fenced in backyard, are you able to have an invisable fence?

You will love having your Golden though. They really are sweet dogs. Molly is
just adorible:)! Your gift of Molly to your DH just reminds me of promising my
DH a Husky Puppy (he won't go for a purse size dog for me) and actually a
puppy/dog was going to be our official wedding gift too!
I am so thrilled you posted your TR. I really do look foward about reading more about your special event:)! More please!

I think most couples get one planning session. We had at least three official ones and about 20 unofficial ones at Francks and various other places and restaurants around Disney. Bill really cared and in the months leading up to the wedding he made me feel unbelievably special – like our wedding was really important and not just one of the hundreds that Disney does each year.

Honestly this is kind of rude to the other Dis brides including myself. Who are you to say that my wedding or anyone else's wedding was not important or special. This is very offensive. Considering the fact that MY planner Ken and his assistant Jen were awesome, always got right back to me and made sure I had everything that I wanted. I would just watch how I write things.[

I tried to multi quote but it didn't work-it is responding to post #9.

I agree wholeheartedly Steph. My planner Tanis AND Rosie my floral coordinator made me feel like I was the only wedding they were dealing with the whole year I was talking to them.

Lisa DH is completely in love. I went down 6 times to try to plan this but it wasn't really that big a deal bc the flights are relatively inexpensive compared to most destinations and my parents have a vacation condo and keep a car at the airport:thumbsup2

Bill was awesome. I can't say enough great things about him. :goodvibes

I am not trying to rain on anyone's parade. I am just pointing out the obvious. Excuse me for being real and saying what I am sure alot of other people who read here are thinking. I did not disrespect her wedding or bad mouthed her in anyway . I just said she should think about what she posts on a public board and how other's might take it. Sorry if the truth hurts. Remember newbie-This is a public board. If you don't want an honest opinion on something, then watch what you post and how you word it.

Sorry, I think that some people are being overly sensitive and trying to make something out of nothing just to pick a fight. Though I can't put words in Bride-to-be's mouth, I don't think that her intent was to demean others and their weddings with her statement. I took it as her planner made her feel as though her wedding was a special and important event for him as well, and not just a job he had to do. I don't see anything wrong with that. While many people are lucky enough to have DFTW planners that make them feel that way, trust me when I say with firsthand experience that this is not always the case.

Though I am sure that all of us who were married at Disney did so because we love Disney and felt that our weddings were special, the truth is that Disney does do many, many of these events every year. While they are special to individual brides, I am sure that most planners have BTDT. Part of their job, I feel (if they do it well) is making you feel like your even is unique and special to them, whether it actually is or not; I think Cassie was just stating that she was made to feel this way. There was really no need for a personal attack, but to each their own...

Cassie: please continue with your report. I am sure many people are looking forward to readin all about your event :goodvibes: I know I am!

To the people posting who seem to be either overly critical or overly sensitive about one small remark....c'mon...this really isn't the time or place...public forum or not there is just no reason to be rude.

From what I can understand, a PJ is intended to be a personal take on a bride's experience...

Since some "people" obviously mean me I will address it this way-I was not trying to start a fight at all. I was just saying that you should watch what you write. Like I stated above I did not disrespect her or her wedding in any way. Since people on this board are really the ones that are so "overly sensitive" and can't take constructive criticism, I will refrain from posting on this particular blog. It just seems that OP does not always realize how lucky she was to have the wedding she had and takes it for granted. That is the last I will say about that. Ciao!:thumbsup2

That is the famous bear lady

Sorry the other 'thread' was closed. That is a new term to me.

The lady who is always at the Grand Floridian Hotel is my sister, Lynn, who lives near there and is definitely Not homeless.

Her late Husband, Bruce, used to be there often, too, but would often go off and do other things while Lynn listened to the music.

She takes her bags of teddy bears with her everywhere and has for many many years.

Lynn has a terrific sense of humor, but she does hear the beat to a different drummer, as the old saying goes.

Bruce suddenly passed away from a brain aneurysm October of 2007, which was a shock to all of us. He had a fantastic sense of humor as well, and the two of them couldn't have been more perfectly matched.

Lynn will be 67 in March, so she isn't as old as some thought. I am 65, and at times, websites like this one are somewhat of a struggle for me to figure out how to use, so I hope you will be patient with me.

Even as a child Lynn was rather overly imaginative. I remember when one night she got me to drag her into our closet so she could pretend she was a doll and 'catch' all of the toys come 'alive' when the rest of us were asleep. She was probably around 7 or 8 at the time. She was dissappointed the next morning that none had come to life, but she reasoned it all out that the toys must have realized that she was really a human and not a real toy.

So, Lynn is not homeless, but she is OCD. One day she will no doubt tire of going to the GF and go off into something else.

She and Bruce used to love to hand out teddy bears to children, but only after asking the children's parent's permission first. They have been going to Disney since it opened, and have spent a small fortune there, taking 4 kids there very often, spending almost more time in the place where people camp than at their own home, renting golf carts. So, if anyone thinks either of them were or are freeloaders, they are very wrong.

The person who wrote #43 on the original site about my sister needs to learn compassion for those less fortunate than she is. With the way the world is today, she could be homeless right now. I hope that is NOT the case, but if it is, I can't help but wonder if she would even give a thought to what she wrote about homeless people when many thought Lynn might be, and she really didn't like the idea of Lynn being in the hotel if she was homeless. I seem to remember that she didn't even want Lynn there if she wasn't a guest at the hotel. My goodness, don't you think there are literally thousands of people that go into these hotels to eat in the restaurants, or listen to the music, etc. It is a public place.

Lynn has a LOT of friends at the hotel, as well as a few like the above person, who resent her being there daily.

Who is she hurting? No one.

At any rate, I hope this satisfies everyone's curiosity. Thanks to all of you who were kind in your remarks about her.

Lynn's Sister,
Tracy Joan
Nashville, TN

I was wondering if anyone knows her story? I really wanted to ask her and didn't have a chance. Everyone who I asked at the GF confirmed what Bill said and said that she has a disability. She has to have a story and its probably a pretty awesome one. I took a million pictures of hte lobby to try to get this without her realizing I was photographing her. She seems so adorable. How many people do you know who get dressed up with fancy wigs and take their dolls out for the afternoon? I just think she is so adorable :lovestruc

I don't think I'ever heard of her, but I remember reading about a "towel lady" ... I don't know if they are the same person. The story, if I remember correctly, was about how this person would bring towels and treat them like they were actual babies...I think there was some back story about how she could never have children, or had children who died. I don't remember.

I think it's kind of sad and seems like dementia or some other severe mental problem.

On a less depression note; can't wait to see all your pictures!

Cassie, there are some friends that I have on Passporter who actually have asked the lady you saw in the GF with the Teddy Bears to join her for dinner and such, and others whom have struck up conversations with her and claim she is such a sweet lady. They have told me how when she sits listenig at the GF to the music she is there wig her memory of her late husband.

In a way her with her Teddy Bears reminds me of my Grandma(especially after my Grandfather's passing) with the Teddy Bears and giving them to new parents at a hospital near her when they take their newborns home(I'll share her story with the bears and the capes she hand knits with you in a PM though).

Please continue sharing your Wedding Experience with us. I know we don't want to miss out or see you go again, and I am sorry some other brides on here have been and are being rude to you. I am glad you did have a terrific planner(and believe me as being a Wedding Planning Student, I hope to work for DFTW one day). Yes all planners are supposed to make each Bride's Wedding feel important to them while making their vision a reality, there are some planners who just see it as "I'm gettig paid, so I don't care" and others who go above and beyond. Not every planner is matched well to their bridal couples, but I am so glad to hear you had one who worked perfectly with you. That is what should matter:)!

Patricia I have a few pictures from the fireworks cruise - they are all of our guests though and not of me. I always feel kind of weird about posting pictures of people without their permission but I guess it's not terribly likely they will see them. :rotfl:

I will try to work on it tonight.

I can understand that; but if they won't be here to see, you can share with us,:banana: (only if you feel ok with it).

The food all looks great Cassie! I didnt realize the castle was under construction, I was there in January to run the marathon and I ran right through it and didnt notice haha. I love the ceremony location you picked though! I am thinking about using the marina for my cocktail hour location actually. I cant wait to see the rest of your photos!

I love the way the Candy looks!!! It all is amazing!

Oh my goodness... love the candy bar!!!

And with the chocolate fountain... the exact same thing happened to me!!! I gave it to my mother and set it up to use for her birthday party. Sure enough, that thing slunch chocolate EVERYWHERE!!! And then we couldn't just pour the chocolate down the drain because it would harden. We left it in the dispenser and it hardened in there. We just threw that thing away... complete disaster!

Cassie, it goes to show that with everything Bill did work extremely hard to make your events work well. Your Welcome Party looks amazing. Sorry about the Chocolate Fountain Fiasco, but I'm so glad to hear Disney Staff was great about it and didn't charge you for it getting all over the room. At least it wasn't a Nacho Cheese Fountain(takiest thing I've ever seen at a wedding and hopeto never see one again). Love the Candy Bar, and how awesome you were able to provide your own liquor, soda, beer, & wine in the suite w/o all the minimums. That must have saved a huge chunk of money. So weird that Dianey doesn't let you use the word Cocktails there? In a way it makes sense, but just seems odd. Maybe that's why they use the term Dessert Party Or Adult Beverages instead. If you don't mind my asking, were you able to have your own Bartenders or did they charge you to have someone come in to serve them? That's actually a pretty good idea having a reception in a suite like the one your's was in(beautiful location btw) or Suite at AKL for the Escape Weddings without room rentals and minimums(and huge bar tabs). More please Cassie! Your Wedding really has me anxious in a good way to see and read how well it turned out for you!

Although the chocolate fountain situation was pretty disastrous I'm glad they took a picture - too funny really when it's all said and done! Glad it was all cleaned up before the party!

The tea and welcome parties both look awesome! I am thinking of doing the same thing for the tea, if my budget allows. ;) I love the fact that you had so many unique elements to your wedding, like the welcome party in the suite. I can see why you would say Disney made your wedding feel like it wasn't one of the thousands they do there every year, because it was really unique!
The suite sounds like it would be great to get ready in that morning, I'm worrying about that because I am OCD with everything being clean and organized and I don't want my room all messed up! :rotfl: Can't wait to read more!

Have you guys ever seen her before? Bill pointed her out one day when we were at the GF. Apparently she has be coming EVERY DAY since the GF opened. She comes in in the afternoon with all of her dolls and bears and sets them up in the lobby to listen to the orchestra. I think it is so incredibly sweet. :flower3:

I was wondering if anyone knows her story? I really wanted to ask her and didn't have a chance. Everyone who I asked at the GF confirmed what Bill said and said that she has a disability. She has to have a story and its probably a pretty awesome one. I took a million pictures of hte lobby to try to get this without her realizing I was photographing her. She seems so adorable. How many people do you know who get dressed up with fancy wigs and take their dolls out for the afternoon? I just think she is so adorable :lovestruc

OMG we saw her last christmas!!!

My whole reason for wanting a Wishes Cruise is because we got engaged after Wishes last year. Natalie the pontoon boats were great. I was a bit worried about all of our guests being seperated but all of the boats sailed together and were practically tied together in a big line for the fireworks. It was definitely one of my favorite parts of the wedding.

We got engaged on the grand 1. I wanted it for the bridal party more than anything. I called months in advance and put the first day I could book on my calendar. We were down at a planning session the week before and I begged to be able to book it early and was told that I had to wait and not to worry there wouldn't be a problem. I called first thing the morning that I could make the reservation only to find it was already booked. Apparently the rules changed the week before and you can now make reservations 6 months or so out. I WAS SO ANGRY!! I begged Disney to be contact the people who had it (named Kelly) and offer to let us pay for their entire cruise/dinner/whatever they had planned if they were willing to change their reservation by a day. We went through the concierge and the marina and DFTW. No one could do anything. If I were those Kelly people and my plans were flexible I totally would have let someone pay for my trip to change it by a night. Disney was unwilling to contact them. I guess I understand why. It just makes me sooo angry! So the entire trip everyone in our boat screamed BOO KELLY every time the grand 1 passed us.

Sorry for that rant. My advice - get it for the bridal party and do pontoon boats for everyone else.

Your pictures are great!

I do have to say though that you don't really know what Kelly had planned for that night on the Grand 1 so I don't think it is fair to have been shouting "boo Kelly". Maybe her fiance was going to propose, maybe it was a special date for them as well....you just don't know. I know that you really wanted it and I would be frustrated as well if the rules changed, but I don't think it is fair to think that everyone else should change their plans because you wanted it. I am not trying to be rude, just maybe see the other side of it.

Did you get ready in the Walt Suite too? That is a big room!

and did you just go barefoot? I saw the picture of you and Bill walking out on the lawn and it looked like you were barefoot. I wanted to wear those beaded foot thong but I was afraid the deck would be too hot for no shoes. My DH is about an inch shorter than me too but I just don't like flats on my feet.

Becki - the dresses were all Lilly. I live in Lilly so it was only fitting for me to have a Lilly wedding. Our weekend was the usual - yesterday we took Molly to puppy class - always good times. How was wrestlemania?

I love Lilly Dresses! I don't own one yet( but plan to soon). You're the second bride I've seen have a Lilly Wedding:)! The other was a childhood friend's wife who had her Bridesmaids in Lilly dresses! I'm glad to hear you had fun with Molly's Puppy Classes and you had a good weekend. I bet she's got to be growing. Wrestlemania was great as usual to watch(thank you for asking). I wish I had my phone ready to catch Skyler getting scared by one wrestler whom scares him on a weekly basis(he does look pretty intimidating for an over 6', 300 lb. man covered in tattoos.). I'll spare you the rest of the details, but we loved watching it. Just one of those things that came wig the territory of being married to Erick(but at least I don't complain about it).

What's up with all of us brides being so tall and all of our DHs being short??

I'm 6'1" and DH barely has me by an inch. He calls me "short" because I'm a tad bit shorter than him, but it's hilarious.

I understand, though, because most guys I dated were shorter. I wore flats to the wedding, but I also struggled through college and such with what type of shoes to wear. Half way through college I just threw in the towel and wore whatever heels I wanted. They'd just have to deal!

But, for your wedding, it makes perfect sense to not want to tower over him. I think being barefoot is cool!

WDW is having a summer promo that will bring back an updated ELP and the "Music, Magic, and Mayhem" firework show from the Pirate & Princess Party now renamed, "Summer Nightastic Firework Spectacular". It will only replace Wishes from 6/6-8/14. So don't freak out...Wishes will be back. :thumbsup2

The first time I ever called DFTW it was because I wanted to do a dessert party at the train station and thats how I got turned over to Bill.

They really should do something.

Apparently the problem is something to do with the fact that the catering department or something like that in the magic kingdom was broken up years ago. Thats Disney's excuse anyway.

I was saying to Phil the other day about the train station being such an ideal spot for a DP. I remember watching Spectromagic and the fireworks from up there when i was about twelve! We were sat right in the middle and it was such a great spot, looking right at the castle. They must be missing out on so much money not offering DPs for weddings in MK. Oh well!

I don't want to dissuade you from your intuition, but keep in mind his musical tastes might not match yours. Kristine I totally agree with you. I just wanted Disney to try. If it was an anniversary or something that was date specific so their plans were not flexible - then they weren't flexible. If they were there for a week and it was a random day then I wish we could have paid for them to change it. I wasn't screaming Boo just the rest of our party after they heard the story. It was a big group of people. I think it may have been something corporate.

I understand that, and like I said, I understand your frustration with the booking date changing.

I just find it completely unacceptable that your guests did that. You don't know that it was a corporate event just because there was a big group of people. Maybe it was a small wedding reception. And even if it was a corporate event, that still does not excuse the behavior of your guests. Can you imagine being "Kelly" and hearing a bunch of people screaming your name like that? What would you think? And if it was a special day for her, maybe your guests ruined it for her.

Ya know, I love your pics and I think that they are beautiful. But if it were me and my guests were doing that, I would be horrified and extremely angry at them. Not bragging about it. You seem to think that everything and everyone has a price. Some people cannot be bought, it is a fact of life.

Sorry to be such a ***** about it, I just don't think you understand how your coming across.

Have fun tonight!

Just wanted to share: When you were talking about your troubles with the Grand One, I thought the date of your cocktail party sounded familiar, and the name struck a chord with me. Some friends of mine rented the yacht for that evening as part of their festivities for an annual get-together that they have once a year for friends from across the US. Small world. They actually had a problem where it almost went to ANOTHER bride at the WP with the same name as them...

They said they would have tried to get another date if anything had been avalible and if they had known....

I'm glad they didn't hear your guests yelling at them though, since they are very nice people and weren't provided with the opportunity to even attempt to change the date :goodvibes:

Are you SERIOUS!!! AMY that makes me sooo mad. I should have posted about this last fall. LOL

Every other night was open!! I desperately wanted Disney to try and contact them. I would have done anything to please Kelly if her date was at all flexible. GRRRRRRRRRRR

Oh well. It's over. I am glad to hear that she is a nice person. I guess that makes me feel a little better. sigh.

You dont know how bad we feel! We would have been more than happy to to change our date for you.
We only wish we had been reading about your plans beforehand.

At least we had amazing weather that night, right?
On the water and not the least bit cold. It was perfect.
And we didnt hear any boos at all just lots of people celebrating.

I guess there is something to be said for having a smaller room to get ready in. I just couldn’t deal with it – it seemed like all of our guests were in my room, I needed space and the more I tried to get people to leave the more people came. I just wanted everyone out!!! I guess you could say it was my bridezilla moment for the morning. Finally everyone listened and went outside. Part of me regrets making Nathan, Jensey and Rainer leave. Looking back on it I would love to have pictures and video but oh well. Finally it was just me and Bill alone without the world. It was one of those moments that I wanted to just last forever because I knew that the moment it ended and we were out that door the wedding would be here and be over and everything that we had worked so hard on for so long would suddenly come to an end. I didn’t want to leave and Bill said we had to. We were already running late and the boys were already lined up downstairs. I wanted to freeze time and just couldn’t.

So we walked out and found a few people still lingering in the hall. Bill hit the elevator button. He was constantly staring at his watch – we were late. The first elevator arrived filled with people. So we waited for the next which was filled with kids with hot chocolate. Bill wouldn’t let me on. I was kind of hoping that a free elevator never arrived. Eventually, five minutes or so later, to my dismay one did.

As soon as we were in the elevator I went to try to move my e-ring (my something old) to my right hand. I don’t know if it was the weather or everything I ate the night before but it didn’t fit!!! I quickly gave it to Bill to hold onto – I felt so bad he got stuck having to wear it. I suddenly was without a something old. Bill gave me a big hug and the elevator doors opened. Far too many people were all in the elevator lobby. The flower girls, the bridesmaids, my dad and a million Disney people and some of our guests were all there. More than anything I just wanted Bill to be there. If he could have waited with me and walked me to the end of the isle it would have made me the happiest bride ever. More than anything I just wanted him to be there and suddenly he was gone and it was all of these Disney people I didn’t know and didn’t recognize. Once again I was completely without my security blanket and wanted to just freak out. All of my bridesmaids were angry with me for shooing them out and before I knew it they were suddenly out the door. The only thing I honestly can remember was looking at the flower girls and thinking that the two older ones should have their sweaters buttoned like the younger one. Then their mom said they didn’t button. I remember thinking - have had these sweaters hanging in my hall way for two weeks – I can’t believe I didn’t’ realize they didn’t button. Then it was just sort of – oh well it’s not important and out the door they went. Suddenly it was just me, my dad and a bunch of strange Disney people. Bill wasn’t there. I needed him. Before I could blink we were out the door and it all started.

Forgive me if I missed this somewhere, but I don't remember reading it. Is your DH's name Bill too, or are you talking about your WP Bill? Sorry, I was just confused as to who you were talking about.

I too was thinkig you had Major Domo(hence hy I thought you were pulling our legs, sorry Cassie). Were they left in a safe or something or left at home by accident? I hope not. I still love Beauty & The Beast(can't wait for it to come back out on DVD/Blu Ray). That would have been cool if they did let you have Cloggsworth or Lumiere to deliver the rings.

Bill mentioned that they were going to make her a routine character. I asked that they not and instead retire her. She was created for us and I want to her be special - as unbelievably selfish as that is. So Bill agreed she would never ever ever be used again ;) Honestly though - Disney can do anything! Come up with something really cool that applies specifically to your wedding and the person you are playing the joke on! Vera worked well for us because we were right outside the hotel and we felt we needed something that fit with the location - that wouldn't look out of place.

No, sorry, I didn't mean "have Vera at our Wedding" I was thinking more along the lines of having the improv actors at the ceremony instead of the reception. :thumbsup2

Cassie! I am so happy to have found your thread. Thank you so much for posting your special day with us. I have enjoyed reading your journal. Your wedding was absolutely beautiful! I first saw your pictures on the Root blog and I just fell in love with your pink color scheme. The floral archway for your ceremony was beautiful!

As I was reading your posts I realized that we have very common taste! I'm still an undergrad and waiting for my Prince to come, but I had to do a Wedding Planning project for one of my classes. Being a long time Lilly lover myself I knew I had to put Lilly into my planning scrapbook! I chose the exact same flower girl dresses and a similar bridesmaid with the V-Neck instead. I dug out my scrapbook for a pic:

Just very ironic and coincidental. :thumbsup2 Just thought I would share it with you. I love Lilly dresses they are so fun! I hope to use them in my special day.

04-08-2010, 11:18 AM
Seeing is Believing - I LOVE Lilly!!! I spent months combing the internet for perfect dresses. Once we finally had a venue and a ceremony time nailed down I went to the mall with my sister, walked into Lilly and asked about cocktail dresses. They said they didn't have any but they would be getting one and showed me a picture. That was it, it was a done deal. I placed the pre-order right then and there and was delighted. I also really like the shoes you found!!! I had the worst time finding shoes in the same shade of pink. I bought a bunch of the Lilly pink inner circle wedges - but none of my BMs liked them. They all thought they would be hard to walk in and one of them was concerned about not being able to wear tights if it was cold. So they all got sold on ebay :( One of my BMs found the flats we ended up with in Ireland and brought them over with her. Your shoes are def a much better match!!!

Are you majoring in wedding planning? It sounds like a fun class!!That's wonderful. I'm so glad you chose Lilly! So unique and iconic! :bride: I found those hot pink heels on zappos.com, but I do like the idea of the flats though too. I have my formal coming up and I'm wearing a Lilly dress I bought in Vermont. It's blue and green in chiffon with these fancy layered straps that gather in the front of the bust with an Empire waist and full length. It's very unique and I'm hoping it goes off well. I'm not fond of the Lilly shoes they have right now so I will probably wear a metallic heel.. Needless to say, it isnt easy to match a shoe in a pattern dress! Haha. You are very brave to go barefoot in January!

I am not, unfortunately. It would be a lot of fun though! I enjoy designing parties and putting plans together. I'm majoring in bio/pre-med and minoring in theology. One of the theology classes is Christian Lifestyles and we had to plan the ceremony of a wedding. One of the most exciting projects I've ever had to do, loved it! :cloud9:

Dear Cassie,

First and foremost I need to tell you how happy I am that I came across your thread! I absolutley LOVE your wedding. Disney World holds a very special place in my heart as it was our family vacations growing up and when I got older I worked on Main Street in MK. Needless to say that when I get married it WILL be at Disney World (I am the creepy lurker that doesnt really post because I am not engaged yet). I really thought that I had my wedding 90% planned until I read your thread, yes I just sat here and read all 17 pages at once! You wedding was absolutley gorgeous and I am so happy you were able to have the wedding of your dreams. I do have a couple of questions for you.

How many people did you have in the Grand Suite for your cocktail party? I am from NJ and will most likely have to invite a lot of people and most will probably show, so I need to plan for large gatherings (prob around 100).

How many pontoon boats did you have for the fireworks cruise? How many does each hold roughly? Do they pipe the music? and lastly if you do not mind sharing how much was each boat?

I am going to have an Epcot DP but would really really love to do something with Wishes because it is my favorite!

Thank you for sharing with us and please keep sharing as I was upset when I came to the end.

Lisa
