Okay, this is a 'mini meet' so everyone can participate in this one. Who's Singing What?
I want to sing 'We Are Family' with the group again. And I might consider singing other songs.....but I'll have to take up drinking first and then hope to get sloshed before I get sick. :rolleyes: LOL ;) :p

I've been thinking about this since DIScon 2001. And I haven't come up with an answer yet. I can't decide whether I want to go serious or silly (or both). Perhaps I'll just sit by again and listen to everyone else like I did last year.
We Are Family with "the group" is a must !
Plus, Beanie and I are "duetting" on something!!:o

Hmmm, I am thinking that maybe Drinks Around The Room should happen <i>before</i> Karaoke!! LOL!! :)
That's what we did last year, Beanie! Went right from DATW to the Swan for Karaoke!!!:bounce:

Im sure my mom will try to get myself and my sister on stage to sing something. So everyone be warned I cant sing, my mother and sister on the other hand can. So maybe they will sing loud enough to drowned me out.:) :)

Oh yes, Kim!! You need to do a "group" song...that way you can stand in the back of them and sort of just whisper the song...that way you still 'officially' did Karaoke!! ;):D

They do not have this song in their listings, but my fave song is a Different Drum by the Stone Ponies...ala Linda Ronstadt... Beanie.. we should practice this and sing it.. LOL

Sure, no problem Ms. Mackey...when should I expect you for our jam session?? ;) DH has over 10,000 karaoke songs, so I am sure we could practice a whole bunch!! LOL
By the way, I love that song too!! I think I will go dig it out of DH's equipment now and place it in the "take this to Dis Con" pile! ;) You know, just in case...:p
I'll so the "We are Family" thing again. But there's no way I'm singing alone unless I've had WAY TOO MUCH to drink and I'm on my way to making a complete fool of myself. LOL :D
I have lots of songs I like to sing when I'm alone in the car. My fav's right now are Cher's "Strong Enough" and Pink's "party" song. ;) :D

Definitely a must.....we had a stampede last year remember...the lady made most of us get off the stage because she was afraid to many people were up there!!! All I remember is sore hips from the two wonderful DISers oneitherside of me :rolleyes:
Oh, yeah and being told months later that I best not make singing a career ...aren't friend nice????

I can't sing, so I'll stick with the group songs.
Barb, there is a video tape of me wearing the Indian headress and carrying a tomahawk from a dance party a few years ago. a few of the "dance Mom's" had a bit to drink and totally embarrased our kids!!!
I like the song "You've Got A Friend In Me" from Toy Story.

Back when we were in high school (Actually, I think Nancy was in the junior high still) Nancy and a friend of hers did a spot in the high school talent night!!!! They did a lip sync routine with hand (& maybe body) motions!!! They did the Stevie Wonder tune!! They both dressed in these "gorgeous" red pantsuits which were all the rage at the time!!!! WhooHoo!! It was pretty darn amusing at the time. ;) ;)
