View Full Version : CRO won't send me a confirmation...?

Why, if you book a room through a travel agent, will CRO only send a confirmation to the agent and not to the reservation holder? I just called and asked for a confirmation and was told that I could not receive an actual copy only the agent could.

I confirmed everything over the phone and am not worried about anything. I just like having that piece of paper for peace of mind.

Just wondering...

Because technically, the TA "owns" that reservation. Disney will only allow the TA to change or cancel a reservation made by a TA. I'm sure it has something to do with the commission schedules and the way payments are made.

Which is precisely why we never use a Travel Agent. I like everything in my hot little hand, so I know it is correct. I never have liked going through a middle man when I am capable of doing something for myself.

Just ask your TA to send your a copy. I use dreams unlimited and they automatically send me a copy of it.

In '99 we used a TA at AAA because CRO had no rooms at the GF for the dates we wanted. The agent provided us with a copy of the confirmation they rec'd. It had our confirmation # on it and the building request we made as well. I am sure that if you asked the agent they would provide a copy for you.

I use www.ourlaughingplace.com OLP Travel and I have always had my confirmations mailed to me when they receive them.

Even when we make multiple changes they send us each one that they receive.

Your TA should be able to send you a confirmation.

This is why I never use a TA either...just not worth it.

I know my TA can and will send me a confirmation. I was just curious as to why CRO would not...that's all.

I'm using DU and I think they are great. I used DU not because I was not capable of doing it myself but rather for ease and convenience.

I think it was well worth it. No phone calls to make, saved me SEVERAL hundred dollars, made all my PS, and submitted my room requests....
