Not the greatest photo, but you get the idea of why I love this sport. Means more to me than the ribbon.

It is a tradition to present a new champion with a Jump bar, which is carried on the victory lap that we are allowed to take together.

Thanks for indulging a very proud and tired "Mom"

C-ATCH is the Championship title in a registy called Canine Performance Events. It stands for CPE Agility Trial Champion.
She also runs in United Kennel Club agility; U-AG1 means that she completed her UKC title in Agility 1; U-AG2 means she completed the Agility 2 title.
ChWC, and ChFH means that she earned championship titles in agility games called Wilcard (WC) and Full House (FH).
As to the Pathway's Shout in Amen Corner bit, the"Pathway" part means that she was whelped by Pathway Labradors (a small kennel in Michigan).
When you register a dog in AKC or UKC, they must have an entirely unique name. The name always begins with the name of the kennel, then it's up to you as long as you don't go beyond 28 letters and spaces.
I named her Shout in Amen Corner for three reasons: The first is that "Amen Corner" represent three beautiful holes at the Augusta National Golf Course. (Both my dogs have golfing names that are associated with Augusta National--my other girl is Rosebud's Augusta Rae's Creek. Golfers know that Rae's Creek runs through Amen Corner). The second is that Shout in Amen Corner was a jazz hit in the 1930s, popularized by a Chicago jazz singer. Since we are originally from Chicago, and I am somewhat of a musician, that fit too.
I always loved the name "Grace". "Amen Corner" set me up using that as her call name (her every day name)
Finally Shout in Amen Corner made me think of a being that was totally free-spirited and oblivious to "decorum"--that's my Grace!
Now, aren't you sorry you asked? LOL

Congratulations! What an accomplishment! Grace is a beautiful dog as well as talented.
I've thought about trying out agility with my one year old miniature Australian Shepherd--she's certainly athletic enough for it judging by her acrobatics around our yard!

Congratulations!! Don't blame you a bit for bragging on your 'kid' - well deserved. She's looks like she's proud of herself, and you must be SO proud!
