mixed emotions for Seth's Birthday

Well, my little guy is 6 years old.

His party went well, but at 4pm we received word that my SIL mother passed away. She found out she had cancer 1 week ago. She always attended all our cook-outs, came to Seths birthday parties. She was just like a grandma to Seth. It was really hard to explain to him that grandma Lil would not be coming to his birthday party, that she went to heaven instead.

She was my mothers best friend. It was really difficult at times. My brother and SIL showed up a little later at the party. They needed to get out and get things off their minds.
