Im back!!! video added on second page

just got back a while ago. we had a great time, the weather was lovely and warm and we were in tshirts most of the time. it started raining as we left the park last night and was still raining this morning so no park on our last day but we cant really complain as it was so good every other day.

Highs

The weather. Ash didnt have to put her coat over her dresses most of the time :cool1:

Didnt think i would say this but the santa fe :rotfl2:
We got vip breakfast, ash got a little winnie the pooh teddy and we got a tea and coffee basket with cookies and chocolate coins.

The auberge, worth every penny. we love it there.

Special area for the little princesses for stars in cars.

Fireworks, wow they were fantastic. I didnt get a view where i wanted, we were off to the side by discoveryland but it was much quieter there

Lows

Cafe mickey in the evening. Never ever again. So busy, really noisy and only two characters made it to our table.

Ash getting whacked in the face by a grown man cutting in front of her to meet stitch :mad:

The parks were much busier than i had expected but after a few days i got used to it.

she wasnt really hurt elaine more like frightened. she started crying and i took her away, she was really upset then as she said she wanted to meet stitch. normally i would just leave but i was really annoyed as loads of kids pushed in front or her and then a group of adults so i went over to the cm who should have been watching the character and told her what happened and asked to meet stitch. she didnt look too happy to help me but she did. we didnt meet as many characters as usual as ash didnt want to get into the scrums. normally she hates the pushing and will stand and wait her turn even if it means she doesnt get one but after being banged in the face she just didnt want to try. we only went to small queues.

it had brightened up again by the time we got to the airport. check out the weather on accuweather.com it was spot on for my trip.

we did do both. we were going to cancel but ended up going and i loved the plaza gardens. would do that again. restaurant des stars was similar but i didnt like it as much

Sonya it sounds like you and Ash had a similar experience to me and my DD when we were waiting to meet Chicken Little way back in 2007. It does put the kids off wanting to meet characters, but hopefully Ash will get back to enjoying it again on her future trips. I have to say, my DD usually won't go into/stay in big scrums, I just let her make the decision.

We usually see 6-8 characters there in the evenings, hence why we do lunch and dinner...gotta stalk out as many characters as possible :rotfl2:

hiya! Welcome back! We got home at midnight last night and noticed the rain starting just as we were heading out of france on the eurostar. I still can't believe how good the weather was! We've all caught the sun as i didn't even think about sun cream! Sorry to hear about ash. Skye got shoved out the way so much bless her. She was waiting ever so patiently too. 3 times she missed out due to rude adults and kids shoving her out the way. Funny enough 2 occasions were with stitch and sadly snow white too who is her favourite princess. Think a trip to the auberge will be on the cards for us next time! Hubby has come round to the idea of a halloween trip now too. Hooray! Now if we can just agree between 2nights at the HNY (my choice) or 3 at the cheyenne :-) (dh)

she was just happy she got to meet stitch in the end lol. she is much too polite for her own good but i guess thats a good thing. we have met so many characters she can afford to be picky :rotfl: so she picked out the ones she wanted to meet. honestly adults at disney are just insane. i mean i love disney but i am not going to resort to pushing a child out of my way to meet a man in a suit. some people need manners and a reality check.

st patricks day was really good. they had face painting. i saw some cm making balloon animals. they had excellent irish dancers and chip and dale joined in. they had a band in a preparade and some bagpipe players in main st. minnie and mickey were doing a meet and greet in their green get ups. the fireworks were great. that was definately the highlight of our week. it was great to see so many irish people over there as well. plenty of green all around that day.

yes sure halloween wont be long coming :lmao:

Why do people have to push and rush everywhere. Don't they realise you actually get more done and more enjoyment out of things when you relax, take your time and soak everything in. It makes me mad and sad. :sad2:

I agree with the pushing and shoving, some people just don't understand how to queue. It was definately something we experienced quite a bit whilst we were there. We still had an amazing time though and can't wait to go again!!

It's a sad fact in my experience, as the park gets busier, people get ruder and more pushy, glad Ash wasn't hurt. We got to meet Stitch and get his autograph around the back of the Stars n Cars stage, worth a try if anyone is desperate to meet him. :)
