My only suggestion would be to do a few more signatures and drop the counter service if you want to get the most for the money. Then you don't feel like you are spending all of your time eating. Eating three meals a day at disney is hard and you also have two snacks per person a day. We normally get a snack (pastry) the night before for breakfast eat a early lunch and then do a signature at night. much more time to hang out at the parks

I agree with previous poster do more signutures and less cs. Looks like you will be in th AK on your first day, I would change Grand Floridian to Jiko Is wonderful and right in AKL. I would also skip the food court for breakfast, so crowded in the morning and just use a snack credit for breakfast at the park.

We will be doing AK in the morning and early afternoon, taking a break then heading for MK for EMH that night I wanted something close. Any suggestions?
Thanks

You could eat at Citricos, Narcossee (both at GF), California Grill (at Contemporary), or Artist Point (Wilderness Lodge).

we're in the crowd that really thinks the signatures are over-rated (and not worth 2 table credits each.) Good, but not that good. And the signature meals take at least 2 hours each...not fun if you're trying for maximum park time. As for too much food, well as long as your meals are spread out, the deluxe works. Use extra snack credits for bottle water & soda...you will find you're not hungry for snacks all the time when you eat 3x day on deluxe. Just don't plan or schedule meals any closer than 5-6 hours apart & you'll enjoy the experience. Looks like you have a good plan for that.

If you're looking for something convenient to MK, stick with Grand Floridian Cafe. We really enjoyed our dinner there. And can't beat the convenience (unless you go to another monorail resort...Like The Wave at the Contemporary, or Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. Also good. And one table service.)

I really thought about the Wave, I know my family would be okay with it, but there are "others" ( picky eaters). I have read several mixed review for it. I guess that I will check out the menus. Any current visit and reviews would be much appreciated.

Wave review from 9/09, post #91: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2255028&page=7

We also ate there previous year, soon after it opened and liked it then, too. One thing about the Wave...it sounds "new age" on the menu with all it's descriptions of "local greens" and "sustainable fish" but that's really just salad & grilled fish to you & me. Guess I'm saying it sounds different & trendy, but the actual food just tastes like your local steak house, for the most part. Cool atmosphere/decor...looks kind of upscale & all, but no dressing up for it & plenty of kids/families there.
