<font color=#0066FF>The other day I was clothes shopping and I met up with a friend I work with. She decided to hang out with me while I tried on clothes.
I showed her an outfit I had picked out and she looked at me funny. She pointed out that I dress preppy. The outfit BTW was a light pink polo shirt and pink plaid cotton shorts.
I never thought I dressed preppy but when I looked at myself in the dressing room mirror the only thing that was missing was a sweater tied around my neck and a tennis racket. My name should've been Bambi or Buffy.
I looked in my closet later and sure enough I have preppy clothes. When did that happen?
Anyway do you have a particular style of clothes you wear?<font>

Having met you, I was thinking more along the lines of "kind and classy lady" - sorry to be disagreeable.

No real style here. I am the type of person that when I find something comfortable and I like, then I keep it forever.

No classic style here, but I do have a style and it's called "SALE " Which means I'm usually behind the style.

Then again there are some styles I don't want to be in front of.

I don't really have a particular style - but if I had to pin it down, I guess you could call it sort of hippie,casual....
I also have conservative, classic wardrobe for when I need to look professional.

No style for me either, although I kinda always wanted one. :D
I just wear what I like if it's comfy. I'd actually live in PJ's if I thought I could call it a style..........

My friends, co-workers and children make fun of me because they think I'm "prudish" in my style and I will buy anything in any shade of Khaki. I bought 2 more pair of RL khaki pants yesterday and my DD said, "Mom, if you just wash one pair and wear them everyday no one will ever know the difference. They all look the same." Co-workers say I would have to go naked if they stopped making khaki. I love winter because I look even better in 12 layers of clothing. Love turtlenecks and even wear short sleeved ones in the summer because I don't like to show chest or neck. I wore a floor length gown for son's wedding in June and my friends could only remark that they were shocked that I showed so much skin. No real reason for it, I'm just a little odd I guess.

Probably classic bordering on preppy. I don'tr do too much with the real trendy stuff, as I think that stuff coms and goes. I shop a lot from LL Bean, Lands End, Eddie Bauer and Dress Barn. Love Liz Claiborne when I can find her on sale for a reaaly great price!

Well, when I really want to get dressed up I wear a Disney t-shirt and shorts or long pants, depending on the season. :)

My style is called Shannonish. Right now I'm wearing a Road Runner tshirt and some jeans (no shoes or socks;) ). I wear dresses a lot at work, usually long dresses. I hate to dress up.

Most of the times if my style is described it's usually "stand behind that lady with the Mickey T-shirt." or something like that.

I guess I would have to say comfortable with a little hippie thrown in. Mostly it's jeans or jean shorts, t-shirts or tanks, and my Birks. The only time I don't wear my "Jesus shoes" is when I'm at work or barefoot!!

My style is ummm....

Well, I wear black, light black, dark black... I dunno.

Oh and Katholyn, I think your style is more fairy godmother, we talked about that... *smile*

Hiker comfy. I'm a outdoors-in-the-mountains type person. Cargo shorts, hiking sandals, Birks, breathable t-shirts.

When I teach, it's just comfy. I started wearing long skirts last year and the kids commented they had never seen me in one. Now I find them more comfy than pants.

Classic and comfy. I love jeans and a white long sleeved blouse. And in the cooler weather just throw a black wool blazer over it.

Oh, ask anyone that knows me and it'd be preppy. :(

It depends a little bit on where I'm going (work, University, Friday night, etc), but generally a mix of casual and trendy. :)

Comfortable and natural. I wear a lot of khaki and saige and those types of colors. In fact, I can pick out just about any top in my closet and it will go with whatever pants I've chosen. My clothes are all so similar that they just go together.

I prefer comfort, but classic is always good, always is style, and usually fairly comfortable. No suits, though... they are TABOO!

My "dream style" would be the hippie chic, or peasant/gypsy look, but I've gained too much weight to pull it off. Besides, I guess there comes a time when you have to stop trying to dress like your daughter...lol:)

Well for me it all depends! I like Gap and Banana Republic. But also wear BeBe and Express!!

The 3 stores I shop most at are J. Crew, Banana Republic and Eddie Bauer. I would say my primary style is classic but subdued. The only thing in my wardrobe that would be considered trendy would be some of my shoes. I like to buy fun shoes, but for the most part, I buy my clothes to withstand the years. I'm very particular about buying clothes that are well made and those that never go out of style.

I can go from grunge to sleek in 5 minutes!

Actually, I don't think I have one particular style. Some days I dress one way, and tomorrow it may be another!

Just like my clipart, I am constantly changing my look.

There are some colors I stay away from. I am definitely a "spring" person, looking best in pastels (I've been told this from my mother-in-law to co-workers.)

I don't think I own one thing that is green or red....not my colors at all!

I am very classic and comfy. I love khaki's! All of my clothes are from Old Navy, Eddie Bauer and Ann Taylor. I have a few random things from J. Crew but working as a restaurant Manager everything buy needs to be economical, especially since it's an italian restaurant!!!! :)

I like to show off my big arms and sexy chest hair, I also wish there was a way to let people know how humble I am

I think I have a casual, preppy style. Right now I'm still trying to make the wardrobe transition from student to working person, but my budget makes it tough! ;)

I think I'm casual/preppy/trendy. I live in jeans, short shorts, t's, hoodies, and sneakers or flip flops.

I guess I am in the minority here. I dress up a lot for work and look professional, even on Fridays. I don't necessarily look extremely conservative, though, because I like to look like I have a decent shape under all those clothes. I can't stand to feel frumpy. But I also won't dress in something too young for me.

I think Lands' End and LLBean are too boring and not tailored enough for me to be happy in. Eddie Bauer is OK for very casual stuff. I love Jones New York, and INC at Macy's. They are my two favs.

I tend to have fun with my shoes, though. I always love getting new shoes! I just got a new pair of leopard print slides. They look great with black pants.

I wear black almost every day. I think it's a New York thing.....I just tell people it's my new spring color!

I'm definitely preppy/classic. I like a sleek, linear, look. I wear a lot of black or grey pants (slim fit) and monocolored tops. I don't overaccesorize... sticking to a pair of earrings, my wedding ring, my college ring, a watch, and my cross necklace. Sometimes I'll add a string of pearls, or another "fancier" necklace. My co-workers describe me as a very classy dresser. I take that as a compliment, as most ladies my age still dress ultra-trendy and show a little too much tummy or cleavage at inappropriate settings.
Does this show how obsessive/compulsive I am?? :p :p

I would say my "look" (if I even have one) is comfy/casual. I like jeans and cargos, with a t shirt, fleece, or stretchy top.

A few years ago, someone commented that I dressed like a Backstreet Boy... Suffice to say, I tried to go for a different style since then... and I would say, just a casual style of dress... i.e. J Crew, A&F and Gap/Banana Republic. :)
