At Home Picnic/Reception - Invitations?

For those of you that are or have planned a picnic reception, what type of invitations did you send?

We have about 100 people to invite, and are not sure if it should be more of an announcement of our marriage along with info on the picnic, or a 'traditional' invitation?

Any information is greatly appriciated!

We are having a cocktail reception, and we made sure to label it exactly as what it is (announcing that our marriage will have already occurred). Here is the wording for the ones we are ordering:

Together with their parents
Karen and Keith
Invite you to a cocktail reception to celebrate their marriage that took place in Lake Buena Vista, FL
Address and time Info


I would say just try and clearly get across what type of event you are having.

A picnic reception sounds so neat...you should def post the end result!
