Ohana is one of our favorites and it seems to get a lot of bad press! Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I for one was REALLY GLAD to hear that the gang really enjoyed their dinner there. We first ate there during a trip two years ago, and now we go back every time.
MUCH LOVE FOR OHANA!!!

I have been to Ohana a few times, but not in the past 2-3 years. I'm curious to go back and see how much it has changed. It sounds excellent and I just love the Poly!

Ate at Ohana in early December and we absolutely loved it! This meal came in second best only because we ate at Narcoossee's one night.

I was happy to hear this as well. It is one of our family favorites, I couldn't agree more with their comments about the lady performer. The first time we went we had her and she was AWESOME, had the guy last time and it just wasn't the same experience.

O'hanas is one of our family favorites as well. We were married in Hawaii and O'hana by no means is Hawaii, but it is close enough. It seems we celebrate our anniversary by heading over to WDW for a long weekend and dinner at O'hana's is the first thing planned.
The Poly is always part of our vacation. At least 1 night we will go and catch the fireworks from the beach. Captain Cooks is a must stop for a Dole Whip too. Every trip ends with breakfast at the Kona Cafe before we head out for home!
Now all we need is a DVC Resort built onto the Poly and I wouldn't think twice about adding on!

also glad to hear it get some love. I take all reviews, bad or good with a grain of salt, as i know everyone has different tastes and sometimes you just get a bad server. But still, glad to hear a good experience!
We love Ohana and had our first meal there back in 2006- DH and I, back when they had the yummy potatoes.
Took my family this past December and they all enjoyed it too. I was surprised with how good the noodles were! And I could eat those potstickers all day long too. We plan to go back in December again. It's become a favorite of ours and a good reason to head over and enjoy the Poly some. :thumbsup2

I just recently went back and listened to some of the old episodes and happened to hear Kevin's review again. In my re-listening, I :rotfl:just as much the 2nd time as I did the first. While I am delighted to hear Pete and Co. had a great experience, it wasn't quite as entertaining to hear as Kevin's review. ;) I have to admit, I have stayed clear of Ohana since Kevin's review - I will have to give it a try next time :thumbsup2

We have eaten Dinner and Breakfast at Ohana in recent years and thought it was good and couldn't understand the negative views, thought perhaps we were the only Disers who liked Ohana :goodvibes

When we ate there in Jan the food was miserably overcooked and service barely adequate. Right before dinner we had run into Kevin and John having dinner at the sushi bar. They invited us to join them, but we declined since we had a 3 year old in tow. Throughout the entire meal all I could think was "I gave up dinner with my podcast hero for this".
The danger of anything cooked on a grill particularly the turkey and shrimp is that you can go from yummy to shoe leather in just a few minutes, so you really rely on the guys at the grill to put out a quality product.

DBF and I did the Ohana breakfast and the luau dinner on our last trip in Nov 2009. I absolutely loved the coconut pineapple bread and he loved the eggs. The service was excellent, but too fast. I kind of felt rushed at the luau. DBF loves Stitch, but did not get to meet him at the breakfast due to a time restraint and they had already passed our section of tables and their insane amount of breakfast parades.
