Thanks for the link Nikisha. :thumbsup2

Nobody wants to show off pics of their dessert party??? Did anybody have glowy things, necklaces, glasses, etc? How about any other special decor? Pretty please... I'm begging and I don't like to beg:laughing:

Lol yea...I didn't know they were putting them there, just the Gel Candles. People had fun with them though...

Our menu:

Tiramisu (NO NO NO!! This was not really Tiramisu...while good, wasn't the same and wasn't what I asked for...I specifically asked for individual servings since I had heard on the boards it comes in a big bowl.)
Bread Pudding (I would request sauce on the side...it was good but a bit dry)
Linzer Diamonds
Banana Brownies
Cheesecake
Cupcakes

Everything was fab! I would have loved to decorate more since the Gel Candles come off as sparse to me, but I doubt anyone else noticed!! We had a great time!

How much did you pay per person?

Here is the breakdown. We ended up with our first choice of Italy West, not UK, but the price was the same

UK Pubside $250.00
34 Petit Classics $1,020.00
Set-up Charge $75.00
Floral $60.00

Total $1,405.00 (before tax)

I had a DP in UK Lochside in January. No professional pictures though as we decided to save some money and just give our guests disposable cameras, which they loved.

but I wanted to suggest something for the menu : Mickey shaped rice krispie treats.

it is not on any of the menus ( or at least is wasn't on the ones I was given in December) and I had to make a special request for them. They were a HUGE hit though.

Wow - these desserts look sooooo good!!

I'm curious what you offered to drink at the DPs? Did you do the fruit punch and coffees included in the basic menus or did you add alcohol too? If so, are the prices the same as the wedding bar packages?

thanks!
Leah

I wanted to know about having alcohol at the DP too, DF will want it, but I hadn't seen anyone else with it.

We just did a BOC beer and wine package for our DP and we also added a signature drink (which was actually the Grand Marnier slushie!). I can't remember off the top of my head how much that was now, I would have to look through my paperwork...

Hi - thanks for posting! this is a really helpful post! :thumbsup2

I was wondering if the smallest menus would look cheap! Although, was the build a brownie buffet an add on? I didn't see that on the Childhood Memories buffet (which I believe is the cheapest menu).

Do you have any photos of the food at your DP?

thanks again!!

Instead of centerpieces we had glow glasses (wine and beer)

They were $5 a piece.

This isn't a good picture, but it shows off the glowing:
http://i450.photobucket.com/albums/qq230/pheifej/Wedding%20Trip%20Picts%20JDP/DSC00761JPG.jpg

We brought our own glow necklaces and blankets for our guests.

I didn't have photographers there, because it was the night before; which in my opinion was a mistake, I don't have good pictures of the event - but oh well.

I had a bar. It cost $100 for the bartender, and the drinks were BOC. I would not recommend it because I don't think really anyone drank. Then again, it was June and hot as hell so alcohol isn't really appealing. Maybe if your wedding is in more mild temperatures, it will make sense.

I also had glow necklaces and the glow cube cylinders. Pics are in my TR.

Nope they were ours to keep:thumbsup2 A bunch of our guests took theirs with them, and we ended up with a set of 6 for ourselves! Kind of a fun/cheap bonus favor.

unfortunately i don't have any good pictures of the set up. it came with a platter of fresh fruit, 4 different flavored brownies, chocoate mousse, vanilla mousse, whip cream, nuts, jimmies, and i think a couple different toppings were on the table. it was on the normal DP menu options and it was 22.00 per person. i hope this help :thumbsup2

We had our rehearsal/dessert party in the lower UK starting at 8:00 PM until 10:30!! And, we had food along with a full open bar for our guests!! They had everything and didn't run out of anything!! And listen, we took all of our wedding guests to this and everyone said it was the best wedding they had ever been too.... and our wedding was the next day! After Illuminations it doesn't matter what they ate or drank!!! :-)

Here's a non-wedding Fantasmic! DP for ya...

The setup is on the patio at the back of the amphitheater, behind all the benches. The patio is divided into a smaller area and a larger one. Both areas have railings that separate them from the main walkway running between the patios and the crowds.

View from the big patio to the small one:
http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t63/lurkyloo/Decade%20o%20Dreams/IMG_0406.jpg

View from the big patio toward the stage (the bleachers are below the walkway):

The buffet is set up at the back of the patio:

From the back of the patio looking to the far side of the amphitheater:
http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t63/lurkyloo/Decade%20o%20Dreams/IMG_1719.jpg

The view is OK - the lighting rigs kinda block it but, as you say, you don't get wet! :thumbsup2

These photos were taken standing at the railing, so about as close as you can get (but they were taken with an iPhone, which accounts for their low quality!):

http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t63/lurkyloo/Decade%20o%20Dreams/IMG_0434.jpg

http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t63/lurkyloo/Decade%20o%20Dreams/IMG_0436.jpg

Both patios have a $250 venue rental fee and a $750 food and beverage minimum. The small one holds up to 40 people, while the large one can hold 40 to 100. There is also a $75 setup fee and then a $12.95 viewing fee for each person who doesn't have park admission.

Hope this helps!
