View Full Version : Adjoining room/sharing stateroom question
Our family of 4 is planning to cruise on points in a Cat 6 on the Wonder. Our Aunt plans to book either a Cat 7 or 6 in cash. Here is our dilema:
We would like to get adjoining rooms. The odds of getting a Cat 6 & 7 adjoining (or even next to eachother are slim). Let's assume we get two adjoining Cat 6's. Would it be possible to book our daughter in our room (she's an adult), but let her sleep in our Aunt's room to ease the crowding a bit? Can we request another key from Guest Services for her once we board or does this cause all sorts of problems?
Thanks friends

Yes, you can definitely have your adult daughter sleep in your aunt's room, it's not a problem. If your aunt is traveling alone it would make sense to book your daughter in with her in the first place, as singles pay a huge supplement (175% of the fare) and it's much better to book with double occupancy (for your aunt's pricing, for you the third adult pricing with your daughter booked in your room would be cheaper).
Whatever you decide you can have your daughter sleep in the other stateroom if you prefer, just have your aunt ask for an extra key upon check-in at the port. :)

You're right about the small possibility of getting a Cat 7 that is next to a Cat 6. There are 4 Cat 7 on Deck 5 and 4 on Deck 6 that are next to a Cat 6. None of the cat 7 cabins have connecting doors. There are several sets of Cat 6 cabins on deck 6 that have connecting doors with another Cat 6.
Here's a link to the Deck Plans on the DCL Website for deck 6:

hope that helps
