Well-I don't get on that attraction much (in fact, only been on once in 46 trips to WDW) but I'm wondering exactly how that happened???

Interesting. I wonder what the employee was doing on the track while cars were being run

Saying "struck, injured by guest" sounds like a fist fight.

Could the "airlifting" refer to the employee being taken over to the Astro Orbiter ride:confused3
Given the title, I thought there was a speedway brawl, too. Do you think they'll have to reduce the 7 mph speed limit now or add front-end air bags?

Phew,
Glad he's in stable condition. Bone breaks can be dicey.

Airlifted...seriously. For what? A broken leg.
I used to work at a go-kart track and they taught us not to walk in front of the cars. But then again, I'm old school. :rotfl:

You will often see them on the ride helping stuck cars, or if a kid can't reach the peddles (even though they meet the height requirement) they will ride along with the kid.

I'll hazard a guess on the airlift: They didn't want to have to manually carry the dude on a stretcher to an exit in front of all the guests. I'm guessing they got the CM down the utlidor and off to a place where a chopper could land without creating too big of a scene. :confused3
