:yay:We are camping at the Fort in 88 days, 2128 hours, and 127720 minutes!
Not too excited... Just wondering if there is a place to get hand dipped ice cream at the Campground?

I do not know of one at the fort. We usually go over to the Wilderness Lodge for soft serve. If we want hand dipped, we usually end up at Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club.
The gelato is good at both the Beach Club gift shop and the deli area at Coronado Springs resort.

True
Also there is Ghirardelli's at Downtown Disney. We usually shop one evening at Downtown Disney, then hit the Earl of Sandwich at DD followed by desert at Ghirardelli's.
The took the softserve machines out of FW some years ago. The trading posts have the usuall frozen treats, Disney & others.

If I'm staying at FW, I can see where I could bike or golf cart to the Wilderness Lodge to get some soft serve, but what about these other places, like the Beach Club or Down Town Disney. Don't I have to drive (leave the CG) to get there?

You can drive,,,you dont HAVE to drive. Disney has a great bus system for all the guest.(It's FREE)
From the Fort you can get to ANYPLACE Disney using the bus.:thumbsup2
You just need to allow yourself xtra time when you use the bus transporation.

You can walk, bike, boat, or take a bus to WL but you can't take a cart. There is a bus that leaves from the Outpost at FW that goes to Downtown Disney. Getting to other resorts is a little trickier since there is no direct transportation route from FW other than to WL or Contemporary.

DH read the responses and we are definitely going to Beaches and Cream! Although.. the Campgrounds are the perfect atmosphere for a good ice cream cone while the kids are on the playground...
