We are going to Disneyland Paris in May and I have started pricing it out and I have found that there are no deals for U.S. residents, but I came across a suggestion from mousesaver. They said you could book through expedia uk which has the packages listed after the UK discount, which right now is 40% off which would save us almost $800. This seems very risky to me, so I wanted to see if anyone else has had success with this. My wife and I are learning towards not doing this.

I am sad nobody has answered this. I was thinking of trying the same thing, it would save us about 500 over 3 days!

I booked for June (5 night Sequoia Lodge) on the DLP UK site (saved $400+). I put in my address and for country I left it UK. There is a member named Pluto_fan who also did this and she said she would report how she made out upon her return, and she is back so it should be any time. I have heard stories of members from other countries who booked on the UK site because it was much cheaper but never from an American. Last time I went to DLP I wimped out and booked on the US site and grossly overpaid. I pledged I would never let it happen again.

I once called expedia uk site to book from Switzerland and the agent told me it wasn't a problem. I didn't end up booking (used dlp Switzerland site in the end). If calling rates aren't too high you could try phoning to book to see if that works with a US address. Sorry I don't have a better answer. I too would love to hear from someone in the US who successfully booked on expedia uk. All this price discrimination doesn't seem fair.

I live in Canada and booked the 40% UK deal by calling DLRP CRO directly. +33 (0)1 60 30 60 53. (English line)
To save time on my call w/ DLRP, I previously priced out the scenarios using the U.K. page of the DLRP website.
The CM indicated that she needed her "team leader" to authorize having the U.K. offer applied to my reservation but it wasn't a big deal.
Of course, this route is presumably more expensive than booking though the Expedia UK site because you would have to pay for the call to Paris from North America but my preference was to book directly with Disney.

As Michael mentioned above, I booked directly on the UK DLP site, with a US street address and leaving the country as UK. Checked in last Friday at DCR and had no problems at all. :thumbsup2 :cool1: They did ask me to confirm my address on the pre-printed registration form, and I said it was correct. It sounds like MECH8T7's approach of calling DLP and asking for the UK discount is a more "offical" way of getting the same result. I had been reluctant to book on Expedia UK because we were doing the free dining offer, and several DISers had had trouble getting the vouchers with Expedia.
