Hi! We have ADR's for Spirit of Aloha during our trip in mid May. We have the 5:15 show booked and are each using 2 TS credits to go to the show. When I check in at Pop I am assuming I will be given my tickets to the luau and our keys to the world will have those credits deducted already? or do I "pay" with my credits when I go to see the show?

Here is why it matters:

We are going to the luau on our second to last night in WDW. If the luau is cancelled due to bad weather I want to make sure we get to use up our TS credits but we have all of our other meals booked so we couldn't add any for our last night b/c we already booked solid. So I made ADR's for Citricos the same night as the Luau just in case it's cancelled we could then go over to the GF for dinner. But... I'm worried about how/will they give us back our 2 TS credits to use for dinner? Is that a hassel?

We really want to see the show and hope it's not cancelled but want to make sure that if it is we will be credited our 2 TS each right away.

Thanks!!!

They won't have to give you back your two credits, since they won't have taken them until your card is scanned into the Luau's POS.

However, they have cancelled the show portion but still had the dinner, and charged people 1 credit

i would not do a show at the end of the trip just in case - would hate to lose the credits or have to scramble

oh my- still charged people 1 credit without the show, i would not be pleased.

ok so they won't charge us until we get there even though I'll have a ticket? that's good to know.

we have citricos planned the same night just in case but would cancel when we know the weather. but... i know it can rain at any given time in Florida!

No...as soon as you receive your tickets the credits are deducted. You can do this at any concierge before the day of the show. You will not get these tickets on your KTTW card and it is not done at check in.

So, if you get the tickets a day ahead of time they take the 2 TS credits from your KTTW card right at that point. Am I understanding this correctly? If the show is cancelled will the credits be put back on right away? TIA

They don't cancel Spirit of Aloha for just rain. The area is covered. They will cancel it for severe weather that makes it dangerous to perform or serve dinner. I woudn't cancel for a forecast of scattered showers unless you really don't want to go in the rain.

Right on getting the tickets the day before.

As far as what they do if they cancel the show I have no idea. I would tend to think that you would get the credits refunded. They don't cancel very often though. As the PP mentioned the area is covered.

I have done the Spirit of Aloha show more times than I can count. The last time (and it will be the LAST time) was in 2007. They actually stopped the show in the middle for alittle bit of rain... it was RIDICULOUS... total waste of our 2 credits...as the food is no longer that good, we were there for the show!
They then canceled the later show completely. It never did more than sprinkle for a few minutes the entire night. :confused3

Thanks for the answers. We have this booked - we have been to WDW many times. I figured we should give it a try once. I have read all the reviews saying it's not worth 2 credits, but we are taking a chance on it.
