Hey Karen
I was debating the expense, but I think the food and drinks that are available, especially the continental breakfast, make it worth it.
I read somewhere about robes. Do you know anything about them?

The robes are not for keeping...they will show up on your bill if you take them.
AKL concierge is outstanding...can't wait to do it again!

Sorry guys~ like webray said .. robes stay at AKL! The concierge is GREAT!!!! You won't regret it! They had the best jerk chicken up there at dinner time for appetizers! All food was great!!!! :) Be sure to tell them if you are celebrating anything special (i.e. bday or anniversary) :) :)

Oh, it would be wonderful if we could keep the robes (without paying extra $$ for them, that is). Here are two pictures of them (I wish my photos were better): AKL Robes - 1 (http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/janettwokay/vwp?.dir=/Walt+Disney+World/Walt+Disney+World+Suites/AKL+Two-Bedroom+Suite/Master+Bedroom&.src=ph&.dnm=Robes+%26+Crib.jpg&.view=t&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/bc/janettwokay/lst%3f%26.dir=/Walt%2bDisney%2bWorld/Walt%2bDisney%2bWorld%2bSuites/AKL%2bTwo-Bedroom%2bSuite/Master%2bBedroom%26.src=ph%26.view=t) and AKL Robes - 2. Well, we originally had AKL Concierge for Thanksgiving, then we switched to Poly Concierge, but then when I got a better rate for AKL Concierge (AP Rate), I switched back again! LOL My kids are thrilled to be going there. I have mixed emotions about it. As I said, originally, we had the AKL Concierge booked and I was more than thrilled with the thought of going there -- the bunk beds and Queen bed were definitely a plus for my family of 5. Then after reading so many wonderful things about the Poly, checking Tikiman's site, AND seeing Lilo & Stitch, I fell in love with the Poly. So, I switched it over and like I said, here I am back at AKL Concierge. I am getting a rate of $240/nite which I think is pretty good. The Poly was $290 and the AP Rate was not available for the dates we are going. I really am sure I will not be disappointed, but I like so many things about the Poly Concierge :( Oh well, now we have a reason to use those AP's again REAL SOON! LOL  :p :jester: :)

Stinkerbellsmom I don't think you will be disappointed in the AKL concierge. We love it:) You got a great rate I would stick with it. The AKL concierge has more offerings than the Polynesian concierge. We love the Polynesian concierge too, but I think the AKL wins by just a bit. These two resorts are our families favorites. Each resort has a different feel about them. The Polynesian is in the center of all the excitement, while the AKL is in a world by itself. You can always go over to the Polynesian and have dinner at our favorite restaurant 'Ohanas:D
