The official website for the river walk is
Thesanantonioriverwalk.com
I don't usually eat at the river walk but there are many nice looking places.

My SIL and BIL live there (and have for decades!), I'll ask them and report back.

I live in San Antonio and if your friend likes to eat meat, Fogo De Chao is a Brazilian steakhouse that's on the Riverwalk. All you can eat with a fantastic salad bar. About $35 per person. Citrus at the Hotel Valencia is another great restaurant. For Mexican food you cant go wrong with Mi Tierra, it's not on the Riverwalk but it is downtown. You can catch a trolly anywhere downtown and get there. It's open 24 hours. Schilo's Delicatessen has great sandwiches and it's right on the Riverwalk. You can walk up and down the river and all of the menus are outside of the restaurants. I'm sure she'll find something she'll like.

We always just walk around and pick something that looks fun and sounds good at the time. We have not had a bad meal that I can recall. We have had some long waits- but its a fun place to people watch while your waiting!
