Yes- yes, it does, IMO!! That's our fave, too. DD walks around the house singing "Go With the Flow", and I am listening to "Fish Are Friends, Not Food" right now!

Merry Poppins

I would sing the songs and dance around the living room.

The music was on a LP spinning on a record player. Showing my age, right?!

From experience, I would not recommend singing, "Hey, Mister Grumpy Gills" at a teenager in a bad mood unless you want something thrown at you! :sad2:

I like Classical music so Fantasia.**
The Lion King
The Crow (Miramax)

Fantasia
Lion King

and probably for the same reasons. Fantasia for the classical touch and Lion King for the uplifting spirit of the music.

I'm a fan of Song of the South.

:thumbsup2 Same here!!!! For Christmas my father gave me the 1963 LP "Walt Disney's Uncle Remus" released by Disneyland Records which is music from the Original Sound Track of Song of the South :goodvibes It's easily my favorite Disney collectible that I own :thumbsup2

But yeah so long story short my favorite would have to be "Song of the South"...

I gotta say the Little Mermaid. Love, love, love all the songs from that movie. I used to sing "Part of Your World" all the time when I was a kid...come to think of it, you can still find me singing it around the house!

Ditto for me....not sure what order I would put them in. So many good songs in each. Maybe Mary Poppins in the #1 slot since it is nostalgic for me and my kids have grown up with it too.

Huntchback of Notre Dame is the best soundtrack with Beauty and the Beast a close second. :)

I can't believe nobody else listed Hunchback. Such great, big stuff. Especially for those that enjoy Fantasia and the big, classical/romantic/post-romantic style. Hunchback has some great orchestral writing.

I don't count Fantasia because it isn't a movie soundtrack, it is a conglomoration of previously written Western art music pieces. :)

Mulan
Pocohantas
Hunchback

Love the music from all- now just the hits, but the instrumental as well.

Fantasia of course!

After that Oliver. Just love Billy Joel.

DITTO about Hunchback! "Out There" gives me chills every time I hear it!!

But I also love Mary Poppins, Lion King, and Mulan. I adore Stevie Wonder and was so pleasantly surprised that he was a part of "True to Your Heart". Love it!! I'm dancin' in my chair just thinking about it (and Ipodding it right now!).

Oh me too! My aunt had that one on the LP too. I think she had the Snow White soundtrack on LP too.

**Sidenote, I was just at the mall buying the soundtrack for the new Alice in Wonderland and I referred to the store as "the record store". **:rotfl2:
