I heard stores were closing, but didn't think (more hoping) Winnipeg would be affected. Just saw a sign saying they were closing on or before April 24 :sad2::sad1::eek:

Wish I had time to stop in and ask if it was forever, of maybe just closing and re-opening new as Disney takes over the stores?? Is that just wishful thinking?

HI The Disney store at St.Vital is closing:mad: but one might be opening at PoloPark in
2 years.

Really? that would alright, altho St.Vital is easier for me. But I'll take Polo over closed forever! The store is my little "mini fix" in between trips and on-line disneyshopping.com!!!

Our Halifax store hasn't said it's shutting yet but I know they aren't renewing their lease in the mall. I know someone in mall management. :(

I'm really worried that Halifax won't be deemed big enough to get one of the new stores when they come out.

This is the same situation with the Winnipeg store - they are letting the lease expire.

I had not heard anything about a store at Polo Park - that would be great for us (very close!), but as with most retail rumours, I'll have to see before I believe it. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one!

I'm heading there this week. I am hoping there will be some good sales.
Has anybody heard if they have stuff on sale??

I was jsut there today! they have some good sales on shirts! Most of the clothing in that store is mainly for young girls! However there are alot of good sales!

Well the CMs are under the impression that this store is going to have an extensive rehab soon. I hope they are right and the lease renewal is just in negotiation.:thumbsup2

Oh my, yes! I just got a Tinkerbell t-shirt regularly $19.50 for $5.99 today. But the adult shirts are pretty picked over. I was so excited about that, that I forgot to look for coffee mugs. http://www.passporterboards.com/forums/images/smilies/fancypixies/foreheadslap.gif

It's encouraging to see that there's maybe, possibly, a slim chance that we'll get a new Disney Store at Polo!! I'm smack in the middle between Polo and St Vital, so either way I win. Now if it were going in to Transcona, I'd be disappointed because I have to pack a lunch to get there from Charleswood! :rotfl:
