I'd like to know this too - sorry to butt in on your post!!

I have seen people standing up by the train station at Main Street but they are not queueing for the train, do you have to get a ticket to go up there?:confused3

I would stand where they rope off around the castle by the hub to watch. Will prob be busy but if Ash is in her buggy and your at the front then you should be ok.

If you can get Ash out the buggy then I would choose top of the train station.

It is a good view from up there but it is at a bit of an angle (depending where you stand) ad can be obscured by the trees a bit. You dont need a ticket to get on the train Fiona - you just go and queue up as with other rides

Sorry edited to add - if you meant is this area reserved and do you need a ticket to watch the fireworks from here its no. Anyone can go and stand there but it does get full quickly and as I say it wasnt as good a view as Id expected. theres only a very small area that looks straight down mainstreet - the rest was at an angle somehow

hi all :)

We have dd in a wheelchair so i can understand the difficulties with a pushchair. and hoping that they can see too without grown ups etc standing in front of them.

so last year we stood at the entrance to discovery land, there is a big rock structure with an orb or something on top of it. the small kids could sit on the big rock and see over the grown ups heads and dd in her w/chair was completely unobstructed.

the only thing is that we didn't get the full effect as we were'nt looking straight at the castle, but it was still amazing :lovestruc

we did try several spots along main street but with the w/chair it was too difficult for dd to get a good view.

this year i was thinking of getting to where Mary Poppins does her show nice and early and see what it's like from there?

that's a very long answer sorry! :blush::rolleyes2

Unfortunately not - fireworks only take place during the high summer (July and August basically), plus a few "special" days (new years eve, halloween, bonfire night, st patricks day and possibly one or two others) :thumbsup2

There is expected to be fireworks today though, as its St Patricks Day, they have special events on in the main park today :).
