Saw the strangest thing this morning

I was driving to work this morning (wishing it were Saturday;) ) and as I came out of the canyon there was this awesome rainbow in front of me. It was so bright, it was amazing. Just to the left of it was a 2nd rainbow, about twice as wide and kind of diffused-looking. The weird thing about it was that this second rainbow had the colors going in the opposite direction (red on the inside, green on the outside, couldn't see the indigo or blue). It must have been some sort of reflection of the first one, but I've never seen anything like it. I wish I had my camera. It was just so strange.

For some reason when we have a rainbow that can be seen from our subdivision, it is usually a 'double rainbow'. They are beautiful!

I saw a rainbow in the mountains just outside of Albuquerque heading towards Edgewater when I was there in early July. It was beautiful!
And very unexpected :)

Daisy, that's exactly where I live, next to Edgewood. The rainbows are really spectacular out here.:D
