VIA..Euro star.
Yep the 19.37pm train to St pancras was delayed by 2 and half hours due to a naughty man trying to sneak elligally inbetween carriages to the U.K...What a nightmare!!!!!!!!
It didnt help when a kid started throwing up directly behind our seat nice (not) as you can imagine horrendous experience and wil not be travelling with eurostar again.
They did give out food/water packs, kept us informed, and have offered us compensation in form of ..Free Eurostar tickets, taxis were also paid for by Eurostar if we couldnt catch our connecting transport on the other end.
OTHER THEN THAT!!..
The weather was mild with a bit of sunshine and no rain!!:thumbsup2
Stayed at Santa Fe which was a lovely little cosy room to come back to at the end of the day. Although we got lost on our 1st walk back to our hotel..very funny experience!..The walk is lovely also if you are at a hotel that is a little further then other, waether permitting, TAKE THE SLOW WALK! its lovely!
Breakfast here is very simple buffet but ALL was freshly baked, and they had cereal for kids too although my two said the milk tasted funny..lol they ate it though! Disney characters are there every morning we had goofy/minnie!
On the 1st few hours there we did a brief tour of both parks, few rides, just to get a feel for the place get our bearings and plan how we would spend the rest of our few days here.
AND in 3 days we did do it all (of what we wanted too!).
Food was okay, Cafe Mickey was lovely, although the kids didnt eat to much through excitement of meeting characters! The interaction here is really good apart from when Gipetto sneaked up behind me and ruffled my hair..:rotfl: ( he does that to all the mums there so ladies beware if you have styled your hair specially!) my kids just laughted at me. Took great pics here.
Had a few tearful moments when we went into the Haunted Mansion ALL trial and error:scared1: and have also learnt that i dont do rollercoasters as well as i use to Crushes roller coaster may look like a simple light coaster but ITS NOT!! We chickened out on the tower of terror :rotfl2:
My children (8 & 6) loved the rides like Its a small world and Buzz light year lazer blast, peter pans flight, pinocchio.
Alice in wonderlands maze (which we didnt get lost in ):rolleyes1 was fun!
You do tend to just bump into disney characters behind corners also..lol in woodys round up village it was so quiet we turned the corner and there was jessie & woody ALONE! So, like crazed fans, MY CHILDREN and I :cutie: rushed to get our pics/greets before a qeue (sp?) formed.
Wow im sorry for the rambling but its hard to get it all down typing but i hope anyone who hasnt been or is a first timer like i was get an idea of how our trip went.
There is soo much more to it all then this though!
All in all had a lovely time with kids, i think 3 days was enough for myself, although kids would of liked an extra day, The sleeping beauty castle was awesome, the Once Upon a Dream parade was fantastic and the interaction from characters great if you can get to the front!
VIDEOPOLIS is lovely to go sit and ake a break from walking around for a half hour as ther is a huge screens screening Cartoons a nice time out for children!
Oh..and i cant reccommend enough the AniMagique show...SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will try get some pics uploaded
Hope i havent rambled too much.
Pity about our Eruostar hassel lthough we got home in the end
Thanks for reading!
