50's Cafe?

The Plaza?


We are getting the DDP (5 days) but want to use our TC on the pricier places of course (Tusker, Crystal Palace, Kona, Les Chefs, Akershus)...

We are still considering the 50s cafe and the Plaza but I wanted to see if you thought they were worth it to pay out of pocket

50's & The Plaza are two favorites of ours & we would definitely pay OOP for them. The Plaza has good sandwiches & awesome desserts. 50's has a very neat atmosphere (love the theming - eating in a 50's style kitchen), good food, and the servers can be alot of fun (especially the ones who are really into playing their role).

I agree. We love 50's for lunch. I would have no problem paying OOP for a burger, onion rings and milkshake.
The Plaza is one of my favorites. The sandwiches are fabulous and the desserts are crazy yummy. We always go there for lunch on our last day before we head to the airport and I always pay OOP for it. :)

Nope. If on the dinng plan I say just grab a counter service. We did the Plaza last year and paid OOP. Hugh mistake. While it was good, it wasn't $70 + tip good. I'm still kicking myself for that.

Yep, I would pay oop for The Plaza:) We had a great meal there last August.

I just checked the menus at all ears and primetimes most expensive meal is $20+ and the Plaza is $12+. But it would depend on what you ordered.

We are going oop for a few meals. I just went over to the menus at allears.net and wrote down what we were mostly likely to get and compaired the TC prices that way. It ranged form $80+ for one TC for 5 to more than $140 for a TC for 5. Breakfsts cost less and sometime the luch menu is the same but cheaper. It pays to compare. Wispering Canyon was more than I expected more than the 1TC at the castle for breakfast (takes 2 TC). Last year we had a date night at Nacroosees and paid oop not knowing we could have paid with the DP sans kids and paid oop for our breakfast with the kids which was MUCH CHEAPER. Now I have a rough idea how much each meal will cost and I will buy Disney gift cards and earn fule perks $3 of gas for every $50 from my supermarket to boot!
