Firstly apologies as I know there's a few Halloween themed threads at the moment but I was just wondering what exactly happens with the MNSSHP and the Disneys Halloween Party. ie What's the difference between the two, where are they held and what goes on etc??
I can't believe I'm even considering booking for this October when we're going in 5 days!!!!! but we seem to be missing out a bit going between events and the October Halloween plus the toy story land being open then is seriously tempting me!!! With the 40% off it's pretty much the same as the price we've paid going this time as had 30% off but on a cheaper price anyway. Also, do you think they'll do another free dining offer before then? Is it worth holding out?? We were originally booked via a travel agent with free dining and it would have been much easier budget wise to know that was all sorted.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated as always!!
~ Seriously can't believe I'm even thinking all this!! I must be mad!! :lmao:

the main difference is the mickeys not so scary halloween party is more aimed at kids. i have heard its a bit mad for the actual halloween party which is on the 31st but still loads of fun.
i havent been to the 31st halloween party but i have been to a mnsshp. there were characters everywhere. spooky mist. little shows. fantasyland, potc, btm, and pm are all open and they have the stars n cars parade through the park at the end of the night. i have book tickets for oct i cant wait
honestly if they brought out a free food offer it wouldnt be worth the prices they are charging. you would actually be paying more for the vouchers than they are worth. the base prices without discount this year are very high. i think everyone was hoping for a 40 percent off offer as otherwise disney had priced a lot of people out of a trip

Thanks for your reply! I thought that might be the case with the free dining so thanks for confirming that. Definately might be worth booking sooner rather than later then.
Are the MNSSHPs on the Fridays or Saturdays?? I've only got last years brochure here and can't find the relevant dates on the DLRP website! It looks like the price isn't really increased if we go over a weekend anyway so should be ok.
DH isn't keen as it's so close to this trip but I'm trying to twist his arm as if we go next October instead it'll be 6 months before we go to WDW and we'll want to be saving every penny for that then.

Elaine where did you find the dates, I've searched high and low on the DLp site and can't find anything and dlpmagic seems to crash everytime I do a search, think we've finally decided on 21st - 24th but want to be sure MNSSP is definately on then.
Would they know on the booking site and can you have the tickets added to your booking or do they need to be ordered seperately ?
Thanks guys, so excited OH has finally said yes and agreed to come with us. :)

Thankyou, just had a look on DCP and the dates are on there too.
1 more question are all the lands open during MNSSHP, whilst I'll love the shows etc. the boys are more interested in knowing whether the rides are open during the event. :confused3

the only land not opened at all is discoveryland. fantasyland rides are opened, potc, pm and btm.
