Is it me or the resort site looks so much smaller now they have buildings on it?

This is an artist rendering, so I would not think it is actual scaled to size.

I am not sure how much acerage they have, but the buildings are very large.

It's not a huge lot in my opinion. The main towers are up already and coming along.

Okay, so I guess I'll have to be the "Debbie Downer" here. I love the idea of Aulani and a DVC option of Hawaii. I would buy a DVC timeshare in a heartbeat IF...YES, it's a big IF. I do not like going to Hawaii only to stay on Oahu, so I'd like to not have this on that island.

Also, my favorite Hawaii stays have always been in timeshares....The difference is that they have NOT been in high rise buildings. To me, that is nothing more than a hotel stay, and Hawaii is best experienced from a nice private villa with its own lani, and feels very private.

As timeshare stays in Hawaii go, I suspect Aulani will be one of the last choices for me. I'll probably still continue to trade through RCI (should it still be available) to other islands and to more private units than this high rise.
