Which resort did you/will you stay in for your wedding night?

Are you upgrading to a specific type of room?

Has anyone stayed in the Honeymoon Suites in the deluxe hotels? How much $$ was it and was it worth it?

Thanks!:goodvibes

When I signed my wishes contract we were given those 2 free nights so we will be hopefully booking them at the beach club because our reception is there and it'll be easier to just be there.

I can't book them until the beginning of May so I'm hoping there's availability.

We are staying at the Boardwalk on the Club Level. An AP rate came out that we were able to take advantage of. So far we have been glad we booked Club Level. They have been very helpful booking ADRs for us.

We're staying in a King Room at the GF RPC. We've always wanted to stay in the main building and all of our wedding events are at the GF. Plus by booking this category we're guaranteed a king room and we can even get a turret room which has a lot of extra space for getting ready. If we get the other type of king room, we'll have a MK view and a jetted tub, so either way I think we'll be happy. :goodvibes

With our wishes room block we get a 30% discount but I'm hoping we'll be able to book bounceback or an AP rate for the same category and maybe get 40%-45% off. ;)

Forgot to add, so far we've used IPO for making our ADR's and booking an Illuminations cruise with them and it has been so easy! This alone was worth it to me since we had so many group reservations we had to make and a co-worker told me for his big family reunion trip a lot of times he had to call each restaurant directly to make his group ADRs.

We're DVC members, staying in studios at BWV for the trip, then I am getting a 1 bdrm for my nieces and I for the night before the wedding - gives us lots of room to get ready in!

We're staying GF RPC Deluxe room. Using the 30% DFTW rate, but will keep an eye out for any AP rates that might appear.

We are booking 3 nights there (night before for me and BMs) and then two nights after. It is alot for 3 nights, but I don't want to have to get up on the morning after the wedding and worry about checking out etc. We jsut want a day to relax by the pool and eat lots of CL snacks. We might make a V&A or Citrico reservation too.

Were staying yacht club concierge level for the wedding night and the night before our cruise honeymoon. We managed to get an excellent 50% discount off expedia (i think the price was an error but they have honoured it). Were getting married at the yacht club and were planning to spend the next day at stormalong bay and enjoying the concierge snacks.

Ipo have helped me with the cruise transfers so far and we will be making our reservations through them.

We stayed at Beach Club Villas. I didn't think it was really worth the money and the Pop would have sufficed.

We want to stay at Grand Floridian. I've always imagined spending my wedding night there, and your honeymoon is the only time I can really imagine justifying the price.

Even better if we get it free!

We stayed at the Boardwalk the entire week including the wedding night. We used our free night from Disney to stay at the Poly the last night of our trip.

We are Disney Vacation club members and we are staying at Bay Lake Tower in a 1 bedroom villa, lake view from 1/8-1/13/2011 and then down sizing to a studio from 1/13-1/17/2011. We were gonna do a week in a studio but decided that me and girls would need space to get ready plus it would be nice to have a jetted jacuzzi tub for our honeymoon night.;) we might use our free night to stay at the grand floridian resort and maybe even add 2 more nights to it, still debating...

We're staying at the GF for our wedding night (for the free night) and then moving to the AKL for the next week for our honeymoon. There was an offer that came out that saved 40% off of a deluxe resort. We would have stayed at ASMo or CBR otherwise.

We will be staying in a cat.6(balcony) room on the Dis cruise. When we get back we are going to stay at AKV CL or CR MK view.

I have a question...I'm in the very early planning stages, and I see some of you mentioned free nights...Is it only for Wishes weddings? Do Escapes couple get a free night? Or any discounts? We are DVC and the plan is to stay @ the Poly the night before and the night of the wedding, then switching and doing a few nights in AKLV and SSR...If we can get a night @ Poly free or discounted that would be great:banana:

For Wishes weddings if you fill your 25-night room block you get a free night.

I'm having a Wishes but I had my room night requirement waived but when I signed my contract they were having a promotion that you received 2 free nights at a hotel of our choice for signing before a certain date.

Thanks drumms2112 for posting those pics! We're hoping to get one of the turret rooms and I didn't even know you could get a MK view with that type of room:love:. It looks incredible!

Are there honeymoon suites at beach club? I just booked our honeymoon cruise, but need a WDW hotel for the gap between the wedding and cruise.

We'll be staying at the disneyland hotel for the night before the wedding and the wedding night. Then over to WDW for the honeymoon. I just cant resist while i still have a CM discount.

Your more than welcome!!! I could not think of the name of the room (turret room) thank you. I hope you get that room or one similar because it was INCREDIBLE! We had a view from the zero entry pool/ poly/ wedding pavillion to the quiet pool to Magic Kingdom! The only down side was no balcony but club level made up for that! We did not want to leave that paradise, (wishing we were there now). Good luck!

We had booked a regular room at BWI but were upgraded to one of the Garden Suites for the duration of our stay, which four nights. The garden suites are two stories with a living and sitting area, wetbar, and halfbath downstairs, and a bedroom with a king bed and full bath with jacuzi tub and huge shower upstairs. This was awesome! It was also sooo great for getting ready in! Second best WDW we have ever stayed in (We were once upgraded to the Roy Disney Suite at the GF; if you can swing that for your HM go for it! I wish we could have. THAT was a fabulous room!)

We had booked the BWi on an AP discount, and there was no avalibility Sat night before we left for our cruise so we booked a WL HM suite for that night. IMO, save your money on that one. It just was not a good experience, and was no what I would call a suite or even a Jr Suite (nosep. sitting area). It did have a jetted tub, but it wasn't a great one, a little bigger than a regular bathtub. There was no seperate shower. I was glad it was only one night.

We stayed at the Poly for our wedding night. It was great! We then met everyone the next morning for breakfast at Kona!

Thanks for the reply...That changes things for us, I guess...We really want the Poly for those 2 nights, but we're on such a budget..Hopefully, we can get good AP rates :confused3

We're gonna be staying at the YC.

No upgrading. The upgrade would just give us stuff we really don't need, so I figured, why have my parents pay anything when we could just get what we need for free?

I don't know about specific honeymoon suites, but I know all the suite options at the YC were too much more for me! :)

I am starting to totally think this way.

The amount we are planning on paying for RPC is really insane. But what temptes me is being in te main building rather than the snacks.

I'm really now just tempted to book a regular GF room (it's hardly going to be a dive, is it?) and have $900 extra for our trip - that almost pays for our cruise!

I was going back and forth whether we should upgrade our free room or not. Right now im really leaning toward upgrading our free room at DL. The honeymoon suite is amazing and I dont think wed ever have this opportunity again. It'll cost another 500 just to upgrade for one night, but then i think when we go to wdw I'll feel more content to have a standard room.

Yea, I can see doing it in order to be in the main building. When we booked at YC we just asked to have a balcony room looking out onto the gazebo (where we're getting married) cuz that's where I wanna be. :) I have this obsession w/needing to be able to hear the horns of the Friendship boats during our honeymoon because the YC is like my 3rd home and that's all I heard every trip when I was a child. :)

I doubt it'd be a dive. The reg. rooms at the YC are nice, and the GF is more money than those, lol.

Sweet! That sounds like a good idea to me!

I stayed in a GF turret room the night of our wedding, it was wonderful, but I don't think I could have paid for it, it was our free night.

The 25 night policy is also for Escape weddings as well. :thumbsup2

Are you sure? They did let Escape brides do it but only for about a week, I was one of the lucky ones, but I thought they then went back to saying Wishes only.
