We were just in Wildwood NJ over the weekend.
We found a place for great sandwiches after a day at the beach.
It is called Russo's Market at 9th and Ocean Ave in North Wildwood. Good idea to call ahead and order.
609-729-9318.

Best Philly Cheesesteaks and Hoagies.
No place to sit and eat, It is take out only. It is clean and prices are pretty good too.

Thanks!!!!! A recommendation for cheesesteak from someone actually from Philly has to be good.

We're going to the Crest over Labor Day. We love it there.

Did you read the thread I posted about it a few weeks back? I listed our favorite restaurants. Let me know if you want me to repeat them.

Wildwood is a New Jersey beach, I can't believe a Disney board has people go to Wildwood. I have not gone there is years but we always went there as a child. They have great waterparks on the boardwalk too. Anyone ever have a lime ricky?? That was my favorite drink on the boardwalk. I wonder if it is still there. Have a great vacation!!! Ann

The Italian place we like is called "The Ravioli House." I've heard that Russo's (wonder it's connected to the market mentioned above?) is very good too, but haven't been myself.

Also, Bandana's in the Crest serves great Mexican food and ice cream, but no margaritas. :( It's in the dry section of town.

We're staying in Seapointe Village in the Diamond Beach area. We're from RI where we have great beaches.....but no boardwalk!

We're SO excited!!!!

I have the best memories of Wildwood! We spent every summer at my granmother's house in Avalon, and 2 of my uncles owned motels in Wildwood (one still does, but I can't remember the name of it). I loved lime rickeys!!! Have fun!

I'd just like to add, that the best ice cream is at Springers in Stone Harbor, there is so many good flavors.

Guess I'm too late to say the ice at the Sea Shell on Rio Grande Avenue is very good, too. They have something like 60 flavors, and the cheesecake varieties are exceptional. They even mix in graham cracker crust--yum!

Also, all of the boat tours are very enjoyable: the Paddlewheel Queen, the Silver Bullet, and the whale watching one (I forget what it's called). Pick up some brochures for their schedules. I try to go on one every year, and I always love them.
