Hi,

Can Disney provide you with a cake stand, toasting flutes and a cake cutting knife?

They can. We used their cake stand and knife, but brought our glasses (still had my grandparents wedding glasses!). I think there's a rental charge for them though. I'd be surprised if there wasn't!

Nope, there isn't. we used their glasses, cutting knife and stand. It's just like being at a restaurant, you return them :)

WE were too cheap to buy some.. so we just used theirs. No charge!!! Then again, that was 2 years ago so it could've changed by now.

Nope, still free (well as of the end of January). Our toasting flutes broke in transit, so last minute we needed them - and there was no charge.

Disney broke one of our toasting glasses that we brought down with us. They were kind of plain and just said bride and groom. They gave us Mickey and Minnie toasting flutes to replace them.

I never did get a knife and server but really wanted to Disney ones so last minute I just told them to add them to our floral. We now own them and even though we have not used them I am so glad we have them. The knife has a carriage engraved on it and the server says Disney Fairytale Weddings. I keep meaning to bring them back with us on one of our trips to get them engraved with our names and wedding date but I keep forgetting. Next time we go.

Our cake table. You can see the knife and server in the bottom left of the photo.

We did not do anything about a cake stand. We just used what Disney provided with the cake.

Linda,
The cake knife and server sound like a great keepsake! Do you have a closeup photo of them? Do you mind if I ask what Disney charged you for them?

I do have a close up but it is not in photobucket. I will try to find it, upload it and post it.

I'd love to see it too!

But hearing that Disney broke your toasting flutes makes me nervous. I was thinking about using my mom's from her wedding, but she would KILL me if those got broken :scared1:

Yeah - I was a little upset but I am glad they were not expensive glasses and I am glad I got the Mickey and Minnie ones. I guess breaking the glasses could happen anywhere. I think it was one of the waiters when they were setting up for our reception. Someone gave us the Lenox Mickey and Minnie wedding topper and that was part of the reason we did not bring it down with us and we used the Disney ones - we were afraid it would get broken.
