New to cruising: Please give me your opinions on which one would be better.
We are looking at the 3 day cruise with 4 days at Disney World. In your opinion, which one would be bettter (price and crowd-wise at the parks and why? Christmas or wait until Spring Brerak time?
I went to a travel agent and was quoted just under $8,000 for the December 22 one (4 adults). This includes airfare and transfers. Would this be a good deal? The hotels are the moderates at DisneyWorld, oceanview cabin though.
Thanks for your input.

Although I have not cruised at Christmas, I have been at WDW for Christmas many times. It's a sight to behold and an experience not to miss! Although the crowds are big both then and for Spring Break, I think the atmosphere (decorations, entertainment AND people's attitudes) is better at Christmas. As for the cruise, since both times are considered "holidays," there isn't much of a price break no matter how you book.

We wanted to cruise this Christmas but the prices were very expensive so we decided to wait until next Christmas. You get a price break for booking so far in advance. There are some very fun activities on the Christmas cruise so that would be my pick between the two holidays.

I would look at booking your own airfare ..we have done it both times on our cruises, and saved ALOT of $$$$. Also, we have rented a car at the airport and drove to the Radisson at the Port (night before)...this was cheaper for us than using Disney's transfers..I would definintely look though at booking your own airfare...

In my personal opinion - do Christmas!! If you travel between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the crowds are a little less, (kids are still in school until right before Christmas), the weather is amazing, and the decorations can't be missed!
We've been to DW before Christmas, and we've been on the DC at Christmas also. It's now something we try to do every season.
I would definately pick that over Spring Break time!
